Very easy to use Waze about 3-5 Pounds but still has a little weight but not much extending pole is great and it works great on routes because I had to dig a route out and it was under dirt and it worked great but this was bought on a whim and it works incredible

This saw works very well for keeping trails clear, trimming hedges and cutting up the crown of a very large fallen oak tree. I've done all this in just one week. The auto oiler works great. The saw is light but powerful. Register it online and SKIL gives you a 5 year warranty. The battery charge lasted for about three hours of use (appx 100 cuts). Charges very fast. I generally like this tool. I've had it about 2 weeks so no long term feedback. It does a good job on smaller branches. I've cut branches up to about 4 inches in diameter. I've not tried it on anything bigger. Pro: 1: I like the extension rod. Very nice for reaching branches over your head. Make sure to get out of the way at the end :) 2: The battery life seems good. I've used it for more than an hour at a time with no problems. 3: It is not super overpowered, but does the job. Con: 1: The chain oil must be applied manually ( they give you a little squeeze tube to fill ). I generally apply it to the chain at the start of every session and then don't worry about it again. Still an automatic or push button feed from a reservoir would have been nice. 2: Comes with one battery and a charger. A second battery would have been nice, but so far I have not needed it. I would buy again if needed. It is getting harder and harder to find products with brand names that I recognize. ... show more

So far, I am very pleased with this handy little saw. This is my first experience with a battery operated saw. I bought it, not knowing what to expect, because I didn’t want to be up on a ladder with my 14” chain saw which requires two hands to use. I used this Skil saw to cut up about ¾ of a large mesquite tree which had a large number of dead limbs, many of which were close to 6” diameter. I went through 5 battery charges and cut the dead limbs up for the wood stove. I ended up cutting a little over ¼ cord of mesquite firewood with this little saw. Not exactly how you would expect a pruning saw to be used but I wanted to see if it would stand up to the task, which it did. It performed well for a light duty saw. The chain is still nice and sharp, which was another pleasant surprise. Mesquite is a dense hardwood which can quickly dull a lesser quality chain. This would be a good saw to take along on a hunt or camping trip. It’s really all you need. I don’t write very many reviews because I’m seldom very impressed with most things I buy. I’m sharing my experience with this saw because I like it. I like it so well that I ordered a spare battery and chain for it. I plan to keep it for a while. I do wish it came in a hard case though. . . . . . . . . . ... show more
