Good price, just what I needed for my remodel, refinishing my kitchen cabinets, and versatile for my other projects. I think it’s a good size, with good power, especially if you don’t force it, and let the sandpaper do the work. I’m 72 with arthritis, I am not bothered by the weight, so I think it’s a good weight. It’s been dropped a few times, from a height of about 3 feet, and hasn’t been fazed and seems durable. It is a bit noisy, but no worse than other tools, and I use hearing protection. ... show more

Amazing sander. I needed this sander to sand down a finish of a toy kitchen for my child so I could paint it. This sander worked great and smoothed everything down pretty quickly. I love the adjustable speed and that the container holds a lot of saw dust, but I will admit that a decent amount of dust isn't captured in the container (but it was more than enough to keep me happy). The sander itself works well—smooth operation, good power. It gets the job done for DIY projects. However, the dust box is disappointing. It doesn’t seal properly and ends up leaking dust everywhere. Still a good value for the price, but the dust collection definitely needs work.

This sander works fantastic and gets the job done really well. It’s easy to handle, runs smoothly, and makes sanding projects a lot quicker and more efficient. The only thing I’d recommend is picking up some higher-quality sanding pads, as the ones included aren’t the best. With better pads, this tool really performs at its full potential. This probably the best orbital sander I've ever owned,it is very smooth on the hands very little vibration. It does a great job sanding and the dust collector works better than most. I've owned a DeWalt and that thing was hard to deal with it left my hand tingling when I was finished using it. I've owned a few different brands and this Skill sander is amazing, just FYI I have had a Skill circular saw for about 12 years and it still works as good as the day I bought it. Got this sander to replace one that quit. Don't have a lot of sanding so I was looking for a good sander at a reasonable price. Saw this one being used on a home makeover show and when I saw the price, ordered right away. Does the job and I like the speed. Definitely a keeper for a diy guy like me.
