I needed a good pair of shoes for my job where I am walking around all day. The Ryka Dash 3 surpassed my exceptions. They feel similar to my old Nike Free's and have an high instep. I have a very high arch and these shoes support my feet without an insole. They are well made and very durable. I have even washed them in the washing machine and they came out the same. I feel better at the end by the day than when I wore my sneakers. I actually notice I am less tired at the end of the day and the veins in my feet are bulging less. I highly recommend these! Was very happy with the fit. These shoes were worn strictly for a 2 mile walk on dry pavement 4-5 times a week. I take very good care of my shoes. After less than a month, the stitching by the laces pulled apart and then just last week--when I had had the shoes barely 2 months, a hole appeared in the mesh of the toe. I am very disappointed as I was happy that I finally found a style and brand that fit quite comfortably and they essentially are falling apart with very minimal wear. Extremely comfortable for long walks. I ordered up. Usually wear size 8M and have a high arch. I ordered 8 1/2 W so my feet have room to spread and I can wear good socks. I am a happy dog walker.

Love these shoes. They're both comfortable and nice looking. I walk about 4 miles a day, 7 days a week, so comfort is primary. Based on previous reviews, I ordered a half size larger. I don't recommend doing this as they are now a tiny bit large, My own size would have been the way to go. However, I'm not returning them as it's a hassle & I can just wear a thicker sock. ... show more

I like the fit of Ryka's shoes better than any of the expensive brands I've tried on. I keep returning to Ryka. This Dash 3, like other Ryka's I own, is a comfortable walking shoe without any break-in time. It seems to have a wider toe box with a narrow heel along with good arch support --which, for me, gives good fit and comfort without hurting my bunions. I remain happy with the purchase. The only issue for me is that the shoe looks cheaper (less well made) than my former Ryka shoes, with the edges of sewn sections seeming a bit rough in appearance. I'm hoping this is only an appearance issue and doesn't mean the shoe will fall apart sooner. ... show more

I couldn't be happier with these shoes! I walk about 2 miles a day. I found the Ryka to be comfortable and needs no break-in period. I have a high instep and most lace up shoes are very uncomfortable for me. I recently bought and returned a pair of Asics Gel Quickwalks 3 that were really narrow and hurt my the top of my foot. I received my beautiful kicks yesterday. They are very comfy and definitely have that perfect heel- toe rocker that makes pushing off easy. Perfect for walking on asphalt. I take long walks with my dog everyday so a walking shoe is definitely preferable to a cross trainer or running shoe. I have high arches but I didn't feel that I needed to put my orthotics in. The big problem is that they run SMALL. I took everyone's suggestion and ordered a half size up. Wore them around the house at the end of the day when my feet were at their largest and the sneakers felt fine. So far so good. Today I went on my first walk. By the end my toes went bumping right up against the front of the shoe and feeling uncomfortable. It would have been fine if I could have used some Leather Stretch on them. However, sadly the front is synthetic so not possible. Nothing I can do. Apparently I should have ordered a full size up. However, I have worn them outside now so they are not returnable. Too bad for me! Be careful when you order and spend a LOT of time wearing them inside before going out! ... show more
