Description

The SKIL MULTIVOLT Brushless 4 In. Clamp Fan uses SKIL Multi-Volt technology to be powered by either PWR CORE 12™ or PWR CORE 20™ batteries. It also offers a hybrid AC option to be powered via USB-C. This convenient, compact clamp fan delivers powerful airflow up to 200 CFM with airspeeds up to 12 MPH. Its industrial threaded clamp provides strong holding capacity. This cordless fan is built for tight spaces or easy on-the-go use, and its multidirectional pivoting and swiveling head can send air where you need it. It runs up to 14 hours on low when powered by a PWR CORE 20™ 2.0Ah 20-volt battery or up to 8.5 hours on low with a PWR CORE 12™ 2.0Ah 12-volt battery (batteries sold separately).

I had been using this for about an hour a day for two weeks. I had to write this review right now because I was using it this afternoon, I went inside at noon and forgot to turn it off. I just came back outside at 7pm and it’s still running with 2 bars of power left. I have quite a few Skil tools. (Weed eater, hedge trimmer, jigsaw, etc) I have several batteries to switch out when needed. This little fan takes very little power to run. It is strong, with two settings. I wish it had an oscillating feature, that would make it perfect. I would say my only complaint is the clamp is at an awkward angle. I have yet to find a comfortable place to clamp it so I just set it on the floor or a table wherever I’m working. ... show more

I’m quite impressed with the amount of air this moves. Low setting is a nice breeze at 3-5 feet. High setting can blow your toupee off. It’s been running for over an hour on my oldest 20v 2Ah (half charged) and hasn’t dropped a bar. Perfect for the fish house, tent, job site, or your desk at work and the home office. The fan works as described in many reviews here. My issue is the attempt to make this a 'rugged' item also made it less efficient and more noisy. The fan blade cage is thicker than needed so it makes the motor work harder just to get past the two thick grates. I am thinking about cutting away most of the front grill to make it flow better and quieter. This fan puts out a focused narrow stream you have to be right in front of to benefit from. It does fit 12 and 20 volt batteries. It will stand more stable with the heavier 20V. The handlebar clamp will help keep you cool on a motorcycle or bicycle while you are not moving in slow traffic. This is for general heat wave survival or while taking breaks from hot work but you have to stay in front of the stream. Maybe it can be clamped to your belt? I already had the Skil 12V line so these made sense. We clip them on the wagon for our kids and I have also started clipping it to my push mower when mowing. Blows a good amount of air for the price and battery life is outstanding!

This is my second Skil Fan purchase. I used the first one at a dog show; the 2ah battery lasted over 10 hours, keeping my dogs cool in their kennels. Great little fan, with plenty of airflow and time with a small battery.
