Foolishly, I wasted 29.99 on one of those Bluetooth readers that linked to your phone. When it did work, it left a lot to be desired. I have an 11 y/o Dodge which while I have an unhealthy love for her (the car, not my wife, who I do love dearly, but she snores and grunts while she eats), she has had 2 persistent issues one causing the dreaded check engine light, and another intermittent problem which disabled the restraint system. So I bought another reader. It was a bit confusing to use, and would not give me any assistance with SRS. So, I decided to cut the crap. I got this reader. It has been a godsend. It helped me to diagnose the first code. Fortunately I can still drive the car until I can afford the repair, since just clearing the code doesn't seem to fix the problem. It keeps coming back. But now I know I have a bit of time and that takes the stress off. The cool thing is the ability to scan the SRS, and troubleshoot it without setting off the airbags, which can be a problem. I don't recommend doing that. It gets messy. It led me to discover a flaky connection, which once corrected, makes me confident that in the event of a collision, the system will deploy. It also detected that the previous owner had cut the wire to seat occupant sensor rather than replace the sensor. I will be dealing with him later. But, the code reader can do many other useful features, like real time monitoring and snapshots of what your engine is up to. This is a well made, easy to read and easy to use code reader/resetter. And it comes in a good solid case, with instructions for being able to keep software up to date. It's worth it. Go ahead, purchase with confidence. ... show more

This scanner is worth every cent, I was surprised to see how many functions it has. And easy to use. Seller really stands in support of their products. I highly recommend. The minus star is because of the 16gb disk, and speed,I would've included a bit higher and faster. But overall very functional.

Needed a diagnostic tool to determine a bad ABS wheel sensor. This unit did that and more. Considering the money I saved not having to go to a service center or dealer the unit was well worth it.

Received scanner the same day I ordered it. Needed to check codes on an Acura but had to update the software per Foxwell tech assistance. Updating was pretty straightforward and after that the scanner is working perfectly. Technical assistance was quick to respond and very helpful.

    • DIED AFTER THREE USES
Used this thing three times since I bought it because I maintain my vehicles. It was registered with Foxwell the day I received it. It's kept in the back of my van in a separate location from everything else. Just plugged it in for the fourth time and it says "database corrupt" and to plug in USB to get it fixed. FIVE HOURS LATER there's no fix and all the "support" IS IN CHINA so there's absolutely no one to contact!! Tried running the Foxwell software at the website and got a "corrupted file" window that I couldn't erase until I uninstalled Foxwell software (including a registry cleaner), unplugged everything, and finally was force to reboot the computer. If you buy this, you are on your own when it comes to getting ANY maintenance whatsoever! ... show more

The scanner itself works pretty good and fast, but doesnt come with what was described the description says it has a battery test which it doesnt nor shows the battery test like on the picture im also missing a module ecu to be exact i only have 3 modules it scans for when it says it should scan for 4 i watched a few youtube vidoes to verify and nt604 reviews all scan for 4 modules but mines doesnt not really happen with not having everything as described and the seller should redo his post to specify what the customer is recieving if you are selling goods ... show more
