Fits in my rhino under back seat box in my 2002 sierra 2500hd with no issues and bumps almost as hard as the alpine type s i had .costs a lot less and sounds great for heavy rock like ministry and metallica and for hip hop and rap it does hit the lows ,bumps hard and shakes the entire truck going to have to get another to replace the gothic .the gothic does bump.but the scar hits a lot harder .useing a MRP-M500 Alpine mono block amp and a MRP-F600 Alpine amp both running at 2 ohm with a kenwood deck KDC-BT565U and 4 alpine 6 inch 2 way door speakers and a capacitor to help power it all and sounds great just hope the new scar can hang in there for a while only time will tell.the reviews are about 50 50 and made it hard to want to try it but so far i am impressed but as with anything u buy new does not always mean good every product will have some that just dont work correctly or last as they should . ... show more

Nice subwoofer, for Shallow sub, Its not bad at all. This subwoofer takes a while to break in and sound good. At first didn't sound that great, but It kept improving and after couple weeks, sounded much better than it did out of the box. This sub was really stiff, So give it some time to loosen up before you make the judgement call, I wasn't happy at all in the beginning, There a Huge difference once broken in. I only recommend this sub for someone who needs a shallow sub. If you have room go with the SDR-10, Its less expensive, and sounds better. IF you need a shallow sub this is a good sub. I tried a few different shallow subs, before I settled on this one. One Note Id stick around 400 Rms, Max. Its rated at 500, But I have it on a Audiozone ze500.1 500 watt RMS, and At full power, (1 ohm load, which is 500 watts RMS) it will fry this subwoofer. The first one I had It smoked, Amazon Replaced it, I turned the amp down to about 80 percent of max, on the new one, and I started smelling it getting hot, So, went down to about 70% and that seems to be prettty much its top end. It sounds really good with that power. Skar is usually dead on, with the RMS ratings, but I think this one is a little over rated. ... show more
