I was skeptical after all I had read about how stubborn smoke odors in cars are, but it worked in getting rid of them, not just masking them. After spraying, there was an aroma from the can that was not offensive but even when it went away after a week or so, I still can't detect any smoke odor. (I have a small car, a Mazda MX-5, 2024. It only had 8k miles on it so I couldn't say how it would work on one that had been smoked in for years.)

What I did was left the car running with the windows down, ac on high for much longer than they recommend. I also began using a febreeze car scent next to the air vent and now it smells great.
