Description

Skar Audio engineered the SDR-1X18D2 single 18-inch loaded vented subwoofer enclosure as a simplified option to add a competition-grade subwoofer system, without the guesswork involved in designing it from scratch. This loaded enclosure features one of our massive SDR-18 D2 1,200 watt max power 18-inch subwoofers, which arrives pre-loaded and wired up inside of the custom single 18" vented enclosure. The enclosure features a unique kerf port design, allowing for extreme levels of bass output. Furthermore, the enclosure is finished in premium grade black carpet for a sleek appearance and features the Skar Audio logo in white on the top surface of the box. This enclosure was engineered by Skar Audio specifically for the subwoofer that is loaded in it, ensuring perfect sound and compatibility. Every subwoofer is different, and it is so critical when buying a subwoofer to ensure that the subwoofer and enclosure are an ideal match, or you will lose sound quality and output. With this loaded subwoofer enclosure model, all of those concerns are eliminated, making it easier than ever to add powerful aftermarket bass to your vehicle. The subwoofer comes pre-wired and loaded inside of the enclosure allowing for an easy and hassle free installation. The dual 2-ohm subwoofer is wired up inside of the enclosure so that the final impedance load is configured for 1-ohm at the terminals. Peak Power: 1,200 Watts, RMS Power: 600 Watts. Will fit in a Acura Rsx. It's a bit tight but it does fit. Does not block your view in the back. The way I have it, you can't play music with the seats up. Seats hit the subwoofer. If you face the subwoofer to the back of the car. You can play music with no problems. That being said, this slams very hard on 600w rms. I attached a picture of the 18 compared to a 12. UPDATED: I'm now running a Pioneer GM-D9701 1,200W RMS amp on this subwoofer with no problems. The subwoofer is definitely underrated. ... show more

The outside box wasn’t damaged from the looks of it, but upon opening product had a whole side dented in and if you touch the speaker, you can tell the coils were bad… product would’ve been amazing if it had worked and not been damaged… I also have to deal with UPS and printing labels since it was a third-party seller. Plug and play and so far this subwoofer is a monster. This eighteen inch subwoofer has been hitting pretty hard. Small idea of what it does with a good amp is simple, the headliner shakes as well as the windshield wipers to a small degree. The page on here says RMS is 600 which without a device to check the current I can say with some doubt this thing may be pulling a bit more. Could be wrong. Now, on the subject of looks the delivery came in nicely except for one part of the sub box was turned up slightly. The shell is well built from the looks of the materials and the partial smell that emanates from the box itself I will say it is built with a quality touch. This is a team lift people. I had help putting this subwoofer in its box in my car and cut the box open in my car. I suggest doing that instead of pulling it out of the box and putting it in regardless of who you may have to help you put it in the vehicle with you or for you. I am no stranger to audio and this is my first time using a Scar product. I hope indeed I HOPE this will be a good replacement for my two twelve inch Massive Audio 600 RMS subwoofers. When I saw this sun for 300, I figured I would give it a try. I have a 13w7 that needs to be reconed so I figured I’d give this a try. It exceeds my expectations. It is not hard hitting but you can feel the base before you hear it which is what I was hopping for. I really can’t believe it is only 300. It weighs almost 100 pounds. I'm a little upset. I was super excited to get this sub. I received it damaged. Crack in the box. The thing is huge and looks great. The Crack does impede on its performance so I wish I could tell u how it sounds. But I'm going to figure I out. And customer service did treat me right and we came to a resolution. ... show more
