Description

Skar Audio introduces the SDR-2X12D4 Dual 12-inch loaded Vented subwoofer enclosure to cater to the audiophile who wants a competition grade system in their Vehicle without all of the headache involved with designing it from the ground up. This loaded enclosure features two of our extremely popular SDR-12 D4 1, 200 Watt Max power subwoofers which combined come in at 2, 400 watts Max power for the pair. The subwoofers come pre-loaded and wired up inside of this custom dual 12" Ported enclosure, which features a unique kerf middle port and split chamber woofer design, allowing for extreme levels of bass output. Furthermore, the enclosure is finished in premium grade black carpet for a sleek appearance and features the Skar Audio logo in white on the top surface of the box. This enclosure was engineered by Skar Audio specifically for the subwoofers that are loaded in it, ensuring perfect sound and compatibility. Every subwoofer is different, and it is so critical when buying subwoofers to ensure that the subwoofers and enclosure are an ideal match, or you will lose sound quality and output. With this loaded Subwoofer Enclosure model, All of those concerns are eliminated, making it easier than ever to add powerful aftermarket bass to your vehicle. The dual 4 ohm subwoofers are wired up inside of the enclosure so that the final Impedance Load is configured for 1-ohm at the terminals (one terminal cup). peak power: 2, 400 watts, RMS power: 1, 200 watts. Holy moly this thing is heavy duty. And heavy. I needed help loading it into my trunk. Pros: - Beautiful "skar" stitching on the top (their logo has so much aura), whole box looks very aesthetic. - Very sturdy drivers, solid port that looks great and isn't in a weird spot. - Loud, but more importantly, DEEP bass. Get yourself an amp that actually matches the watt rating on these, and you will be heard down the street. Honestly they're perfect entry level subs that genuinely push. Cons: - In all honesty, the new box smells quite a bit. Not bad perse, but it smells. The smell will accumulate in your car while it sits dormant, but it goes away once the AC is turned on. I haven't had problems with it lingering in the car. I'm sure overtime it loses some of its smell. Few notes: - It's 2400w MAX, but only 1200w RMS. Make sure you know the difference. Don't get a 2000w amp, itll blow them. The amp I use is a Skar 1200w RMS, 1600w MAX. - The port is facing the same way as the speakers, and I was concerned that if the speakers faced backwards (to see them when the trunk was opened) then the port wouldn't make as much sound in the front of the car. That was quite naive of me, it literally couldn't matter less, the sub is just as loud either way. IS IT WORTH YOUR MONEY? Depends. You get a perfectly tuned aesthetic box and quality 12" drivers that handle loads of power. They look great, but if you're not pushing them close to their max, you're missing out on value. ... show more

very amazing! they fit in my car PERFECTLY! (09 vibe) and they bump hard even while breaking them in still! they dont use up too much power either as i still have yet to get any sort of dimming lights (paired with a skar 1200w amp). these are very possibly the best subs you can get for the value!!

Really impressed at the quality and sound of these! They hit pretty hard and can absolutely shake your car. For the price you can't go wrong!! Delivery was on time and no problems at all. Highly recommend these subs. They are hands down the best bang for your buck!!!! UPDATE: After break in running these speakers they kick some serious a$$! I'm really impressed with how hard they hit and quality of them. I highly recommend these!!!! I may end up buying more sets for my other vehicles that's how good they are! Update: going on almost 6 months of use and these things just absolutely pound!!! I'm blown away by how good they are! Hands down these are the best bang for your buck!! I don't recommend many items but these subs, I highly recommend!! I am truly impressed with these subs!! Update: I've been running these now for over a year and these still pound hard! There is no distortion or any issues and are still shaking the crap out of my car! I'm impressed and 100% sold on these! First and foremost they sound great. They hit hard and very clear, I had to turn down my amp because they are so much more efficient than my previous speakers. I am running a pioneer d8601 amp. Secondly as most others have noted the box arrived looking as though it has been through a war. They have seemed to attempt to mitigate damage to the speaker box with packaging but the corners were indeed damaged upon removal. The speaker box is large (barely fit in the back of my 2016 Charger), heavy and absolute junk. The MFD they use for construction is absurd, I prefer to hard mount my speaker enclosures in the car, but the MFD will not even hold a course thread screw. I am eventually going to have to remove the speakers and through mount the box but I fear even that will pull out. Conclusion, for the time and effort spent developing such a great sounding speaker you would think they would use a better material on their enclosures. ... show more

purchased these in 2023 and have had this set in 2 different cars and they've been amazing. I broke them in properly and haven't had any issues with them. I have them paired with a ct sounds 2000 watt amp.
