  • My Go-To NVMe for Gaming and Servers at Home
Capacity: 1TB
I’ve bought close to 40 of these Platinum P41 drives in both 1TB and 2TB sizes, and every single one has been rock solid. They’re fast and handle everything I throw at them – from gaming PCs to home servers (TrueNAS, ProxMox, Game Servers, etc) Installation is straightforward, and performance has been consistent across all of them. No failures, no slowdowns, just dependable storage I can trust. If you want an NVMe drive that delivers speed and reliability without any fuss, this one is an easy choice. ... show more

  • The best gen4 NVMe and one of the best NVMe overall
Capacity: 1TB
This is probably the bestest and fastest gen4 NVMe drive out there. And the fact it costs significantly less than the other big name brands makes it a no-brainer. Drop it in and it’s ready to go. Paired with AMD Ryzen 9600X, A620I mobo, and 32GB 6000MHz CL30 DDR5. There’s also an SK Hynix update tool that quickly updates your drive and then removes itself from your computer and doesn’t bother you again, which is actually pretty nice. Very pleased. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Fast and efficient
Capacity: 2TB
This is one of the best laptop drives. It is very fast and the most efficient drive. Speeds are as advertised and installation went great. I have the previous p31 in a couple of other systems that are still running great. the p41 can get hotter than the p31, so i added a heat plate. p41 is also faster than the p31. ... show more

  • Fast, Reliable, and Still Going Strong After 3 Years
Capacity: 2TB
I bought this SK hynix P41 2TB SSD three years ago, and it’s been flawless ever since. Blazing fast speeds from day one, with no issues at all—no slowdowns, no errors, and no overheating. Still performs like new. Highly recommended for anyone needing a reliable Gen4 NVMe drive.

  • fast but.....
Capacity: 1TB
This drive is fast, very fast, but i would not recommend it if your using it for a laptop. I had to upgrade the wd pcie 4.0 nvme drive that came in an hp laptop i just bought because i filled the old one up almost immediately. One of my main criteria was efficiency as the battery life in the laptop is abismal to say the least. After reading expert reviews and tests online all saying this drive is fast and very efficient i jumped at it when i saw it for a decent price. I also have experience with ak hunix drives as i have their s31 sata drive in a desktop n i love it. Cloning the old drive over was a snap, sk hynix gives u an sk hynix version of macrium that works very well. I plopped this thing in and immediately noticed it was fast moving a 16gb file at 2000mbps where i only managed 950 with the old wd drive on the same file. But then i noticed my battery seemed to be draining at a quicker rate. To verify i let it die and charged it up completely before turning it back on and letting it sit idle until it died to see what kind of battery life i got on idle. Sure enough i went from an alteady terrible 6 hours on idle with the wd drive to an even worse 4 hours with the p41 in it. When i used the thing it was like it was sipping battery through a straw giving me 1 n a half to 2 hours. I also noticed it ran hot, sitting around 41-46 degrees c most of the time. Needless to say i didnt keep this drive in the computer, instead opting to buy a 1tb samsung 980 pro(alittle slower but runs cooler and doesnt eat the battery so fast) and i kept this one as a backup. Hopefully they fix some of these issues with firmware updates in the future because it really is a nice drive. Unfortunately for right now if your trying to get a nvme drive for a desktop computer, this one is highly recommended. But if ur trying to get it for a laptop, i say stay away and opt for something else unless u dont mind trading battery life for the speed it delivers. In that case have at it ... show more
