  • More than ample 2TB SSD storage capacity, a snap to install, for a fair price too!
Capacity: 2TB
More than ample 2TB SSD storage capacity, a simple snap to install, for a fair price too! Hynix has been making reliable, and professional PC memory cards since the early 80's. I know this statement to be true, because I'm still using some of their Hynix memory cards made in the 80's to run some of our old IT legacy Windows XP computers at my work and on the job everyday... Hynix makes some excellent SSD storage cards as well. I bought one of their high performance SSD cards earlier this month and I put it straight into my HP Omen 16 gaming PC at home, with no problems this SSD card works like a charm and read/write access speeds are indeed much faster today than any other SSD card that I've bought here on Amazon in the past year or two... So, if you want an extremely fast and reliable SSD card, then buy a Hynix brand SSD card and you won't ever be sorry that you did... I'm not sorry that I did at all! Cheers, RMT - 11/12/2023. ... show more

  • Reliable!
Capacity: 1TB
I bought this version for my os drive and a P31 2tb for storage and games in my new Windows PC build. And like every SK Hynix SSD (I have bought 5 in the last 4 years), it just works, and at the advertised speeds. I am a customer for life, I will always buy SK Hynix, they cost a little more, but the little additional cost is well worth it! Never cheap out on PC parts you rely on, and these, you can rely on! ... show more

  • Good high-end NVMe SSDs
Capacity: 2TB
One of the best NVMe SSDs you can buy. It runs at its advertised speeds, and held up well.

  • Faster than Samsung evo 990
Capacity: 2TB
I have a high power pc and was using a 970 EVO as my c drive, it worked until it failed. Despite Samsung Magician this thing died giving no warning, but that's the way of things now. Got a 990 and noticed the entire system was a bit more sluggish then the 970. I swapped out the Samsung for the Hynix and the system is significantly faster and more responsive. I will keep the 990 as a backup (I use Aomei as a back up solution) but would suggest you try this NVMe M.2 definitely much much faster. ... show more

  • amazing compared to SATA SSD
Capacity: 1TB
i had purchased one of these during a sale and even compared to the samsung 860 evo i already had in my pc, this made a difference i truly did not expect. the speed is definitely something in the Gbps, and programs that previously took a little bit to get going now open instantly. if your pc has an M.2 NVMe slot definitely get one of these ... show more

  • Best Gen4 M.2 2280
Capacity: 2TB
I bought this to add storage to a PS5. The price was ideal for the size and speed. I am disappointed there is not a larger size available. The Samsung 990 Pro did not perform well and I have noticed fewer system crashes since changing to the Hynix. The Addlink 8TB would be another option if games continue the 100+GB size. The price for 8TB needs to drop by 50% first. I wanted 4TB like I have in the PS3 systems and PS4 systems but the price to performance at the time is like the 8TB now. If you're wanting to add storage to a PS5 get one of these. If you want a larger drive get the WD SN850x 4TB or the Addlink S95 8TB. Do not buy an WD SN850p or a Samsung 990 Pro. You can find comparisons on tomshardware and youtube for real world numbers if my experience isn't enough to convince you. Currently my Samsung 990 Pro sits in an external enclosure to run PS4 games on a PS5. It works but had to add heat tape due to the heat it produces. ... show more

  • Great drive ruined by the price fix - Paid $114.60 on 1/2/24
Capacity: 2TB
I strongly feel that price informs value, so I try to include the price paid in all my reviews and suggest everyone do the same. In this case, I paid $114.60 on 1/2/24. The Samsung/Hynix price fixing means that you really shouldn't buy a SSD in 2024. But I had gift cards to spend and the depredations of the these companies hadn't fully hit by the first of the year. Hynix drives an easy choice for me. They use less power, generate less heat, and perform as good as, if not better in some cases, than a comparable Samsung SSD. I have been using several of their P31 drives for years w/o any issue. If you absolutely need a Gen4 SSD, this is still the way to go. the gen3 P31 would probably not be noticeably slower to most use cases and it's possible there will be better deals on the older generation. But if you don't "NEED" an SSD, use that money elsewhere in 2024 and maybe we can reverse this awful trend. The rule of thumb for 2023 for NVME SSD was $30/TB for Chinese Drives and $50/TB for premium Korean Drives. As of the time of this review, the P41 2TB is listed for $160. ... show more
