  • Great bike. My wife loves it.
Color: Mint Green w/ Black Seat/Grips Size: 24" / 3-speed Pattern Name: Bike
Purchased this bike as a gift for Mothers Day and she loves it. I'm always skeptical when buying something online for this price without seeing the product in person first, but I'm definitely not disappointed with this product from SIXTHREEZERO. It was shipped in one box and easy to put together. The Assembly guide was a nice book with detailed instructions that were easy to understand and colored pictures to help. I should have taken a picture of how the bike was packaged in the box, but for the most part it was pre-assembled and well protected with packing to protect it during transit. The only assembly needed was to install the front wheel, handle bar, foot pegs, seat and cargo rack. It came with all the tools needed, but I ended up using my own since they were more convenient and durable. The multi-use wrench that is provided will work if you don't have your own, but when I wanted to really tighten down on a connection it was a little awkward to use. I was able to do the assembly by myself and just needed a little assistance from my wife when making the adjustment of the seat and handlebar height to her liking. The whole assembly took less than an hour. Once assembled my wife loved the ride and comfort of the seat. The handle bars are wide and spread apart perfectly to allow control and stearing of the bike. The seat has springs under it to absorb the shock from bumps on the road which is nice. I'm somewhat jealous and considering replacing my mountain bike with the mens version of this bike. If you're on the fence about purchasing, don't be. You won't regret it. ... show more

  • Cute and comfy bike
First I will say that this bike looks really nice after I finally got it put together. The color is really pretty more like a pink than a purple. I will say be very careful while unboxing it! I got a nasty cut on my leg from one of the staples, because the kickstand poked a hole through the box and made it so that the bike was not easily removed from the box, and while I was pulling up, the large staple scraped my upper leg. There were a few loose pieces at the bottom of the box, but I had everything except for one axle nut to put the front tire on. I unfortunately had to borrow one from my old bike, so I will have to replace that at some point since it's a different color. Also the front reflector that was included is different than the picture shown. The one I received goes on the handlebars, and the one in the picture and in the instructions goes down by the tire in the middle. The one that was supposed to come with it would have been nice since I added a basket to the bike. I really had to play with the brakes and adjust the high gear screw to get the gears adjusted properly. It took me about 5 hours total to get it rideable, but that included adding a basket and a cup holder. Another thing that would be nice for it to be included is some bicycle grease, I used petroleum jelly, I reckon that was okay. Also some stickers with the brand name would be nice. All in all I'm pleased with the bike. It is comfortable and cute. The instructions were detailed and easy to read. There is a customer service number provided that I could call about the reflector and axle nut but I am not that worried about those small things. ... show more

  • Short minty girl, the struggle is real!
Color: Mint Green w/ Black Seat/Grips Size: 24" / 3-speed Pattern Name: Bike
So initial reactions, I did a lot of research when looking for a bike that suits me. I'm 5' ft tall, exactly, 60 cms, I'm a petite adult woman. It's really close to impossible for me to enjoy the Limebikes and other services outside in the Boston area so I had to commit and buy a bike that suits my small height. The minty green is adorable, perfect for what I was expecting, the quality and sturdiness is very obviously there. The assembly was quite irritating -- it was partially put together (which they don't notate is standard for the Around the Block bikes) so following the manual was basically redundant. The saving grace was YouTube and all the assembly videos present to help me along. It's a heavy bike and you may need two people to help adjust things as you put it together. Overall though I love the appearance, I bought a mint basket to match the bike, which will be helpful during my commute. So I bought the 24' because I read the reviews and woes of other smaller woman struggling with the 26'. Their website says 5-6ft for the 26'. It's an utter lie. I'm BARELY holding on to the 24' then it occurred to me, it's not necessarily about height (we are not all cookie cutter humans) its about your LEG LENGTH. I have a long torso and short legs, I'm happy I chose the 24' because it's literally the only choice I had, I have to be on my tippy toes with it as is, but it rides. If I got the 26', I would have to wear platforms to ride the bike. If you're short and have similar proportions, you may want to consider disregarding their suggestion and getting the 24'. There was another reviewer that said she regretted keeping her 26' at 5'1 because she could not reach comfortable. So beware! Also, there is a weight limit of 198 lbs for the 24' tires, something to consider as well if you're overweight and trying to use this bike to get fit, someone heavier than me sat and the bike did not move well. I don't know how they say 300lbs, that seems really insane to me. As far as assembly suggestions, the constant swivel of the seat can be fixed, you just have to get yourself a ratchet and or crescent wrench and turn those suckers SUPER tightly. Their tools provided are AWFUL. Use your own. As far as the seat lever goes, make sure you grease it too. I found myself building it on a carpet because it helped protect the bike from scuffs as I haphazardly carried it during my assembly. I will update after usage during my commute to see how it lasts. I have high hopes! ... show more
