I am so glad we bought this vaccuum! We started researching water vaccuums after watching a rainbow demo. We loved the concept but just could not stomach spending that much or having to impose on friends to get a reduced price. This looked very very similar for a fraction of the cost so we decided to give it a try. I love it so much! We got a completely disgusting amount of stuff out of our bedroom carpet (shown in picture) after just one go. I can see the amount lessening but it is still a lot even after two weeks of vacuuming almost every day! It came with lots of attachments. It’s a little tedious to have to swap out the hose for them from the main vaccuum but still worth it. I didn’t like the regular sweeper attachments for our hardwood but the power sweeper works great. The small head makes it super easy to maneuver around my bar stools and under the dining table. The canister part pulls really easy behind you as you move around the rooms. We’ve also used the round duster attachment and the upholstery one and they both work fantastically. There is such a dramatic difference in the suction of this vaccuum compared to our old canister vaccuum. We wash out and hand dry the water basin after we’re finished each time which is a little tedious, but also so much cleaner to work with than a nasty dusty canister that just holds crap that you can never get out. We’ve used the water canister as an air purifier as well and that works great to freshen the house. And we run the humidifiers constantly now. Definitely breathe better through the night with it on! My only complaint I think is that I don’t love the fragrances with come with it aside from the tropical and the deodorizer. Overall though, super impressed with this machine and so happy we made this purchase. It’s a big investment but I feel like totally worth it to have a much cleaner cleaning experience. We will give it a couple more months and probably purchase the carpet cleaner attachment as well. ... show more

I have been a Kirby believer all my life. Only reason I wanted to try a water based vacuum is to help with the dust in the air and allergies. I had been to the local vacuum store that had a Sirena vacuum on hand and showed me how to use it and stuff. And what had caught my eye was the price! I was very interested in a Rainbow but the ticket on that was a little much, so I went back to the Sirena. Here on Amazon I was offered more and the price was the same, that is why I went this route instead of buying it locally. I had received my vacuum within 6 days from when I ordered so it was a quick ship which I loved!!! I opened up my vacuum and made sure all the parts were there that was listed. I got my little purifiers going and vacuumed my living, WOW how gross was that. I was surprised!! This machine has great suction and did the job I want it to. ****only thing I would change is the set up for vacuuming with attachments the hose DOES NOT attach to the bar to clean with. It always falls off!!! very frustrating ***Another thing the vacuum it self gets VERY HOT........ when vacuuming which I find this very odd!! ***Its Very loud, I thought my Kirby was loud but this vacuum is LOUD!!! even when purifying the air. $$So if you want to save money this is a good machine!$$ THANKS! ... show more

    • Cheaply constructed, cumbersome, and does not work better than a standard vacuum.
After my experience examining this machine, I would have not bought this vacuum cleaner never ever. Definitely, with no doubt whatsoever, it is cheaply built and also poorly designed, and because of this, it will break sooner than it should. Just as an example, the hookup of the vacuum hose to the machine has plastic teeth that hold the attachment: How could this be possible? Can you image the stress that this attachment is subject all the time? So this attachment will definitely come lose/break at anytime and therefore the machine will stop working. Also, the attachment of the machine to the water recipient is poorly design since it does not fit easily and you have to work it out to make the attachment successful; have in mind that all attachments of these two parts are made of plastic and they are subject to a high level stress. Also, I did the following experiment. First, I vacuum with a standard Kenmore vacuum cleaner and then, I applied the Sirena. Well, the water in the Sirena ended up completely clean: No dirt whatsoever. Have in mind that the Kenmore vacuum cleaner has about 5 years of use and it already has some minor issues. This proves that the Sirena does not do a better job than a $350 machine. So you figure: A cheaply made and poorly designed, a cumbersome machine to use, and on top of all of this, a very expensive machine that will not last, with no doubt, more than a Kenmore basic vacuum cleaner that is worth $350. Actually, since the Sirena has so much fragile plastic as the hookups and water container, it could be very probably that it will not last more than 2 years; a Kenmore will last at least 5 years if you handle with care and no hassles. Yes,, the Kenmore has lots of plastic components and they do break with time. Is this machine made in China? Yes, it is as most defective items: Chinese products most of the time are cheap and do not worth the money. The government in China applies very high taxes so the industry has only one choice: Make poor products. A Chinese product is poorly made unless proven the contrary.     • Good vacuum especially if you have pets
Now that I've been using it for a few months, I am getting the hang of planning out how to use it best as far as which hoses and attachments to use and when. Picks up pet hair really well and I've realized how poorly my last vacuum worked. I love the fact that all of the dust and fur go directly into the water basin and I'm not breathing it all when emptying it. While it's by no means a cheap vacuum, you do get what you pay for and so far it's the best vacuum I've ever owned. I'm giving it 4 stars because it can be cumbersome moving it around on carpeting and the power hose can be heavy. ... show more

I would have given it a five star but one of the latches that holds the tank on was cracked when I got it and keeps popping off. Other then that it works great.
