This is a nice, compact single serve coffee maker that works great. I really like that it has such a small footprint & takes up very little space on the countertop. Its small size also makes it easy to pack & bring along while traveling. It is super easy to use and without a bunch of unnecessary frills. If you want 8 oz of coffee, you pour 8 oz of water in the reservoir. If you want 12 oz of coffee, pour 12 oz in the reservoir and so on. It doesn't store water in the reservoir, so make sure that the size of your cup can hold the entire volume of water within it. Once you've filled the water reservoir & added your coffee of choice just push the button and you'll have a hot cup of coffee in no time. It comes with a printed instruction booklet (yayy!) that is straightforward and thorough. The coffee maker comes with a sturdy, reusable filter cup to fill with coffee grounds for brewing. Empty it when you're done to be reused again and again. No filling the landfills with endless amounts of used plastic k-cups. I grind my own beans every morning for my coffee, so this works great for me. It also comes with an insert that allows you to use pre-made k-cups. The brewer itself looks & feels as durable & solid as the new keurig machines being sold with a similar build quality. Not as sturdy as the old, OG keurigs of course. It's a nice quality brewer & I'm confident that it will last me a long while. A lot of people, myself included, complain that k-cups make weak, tasteless coffee even if they have the "strong" option. I know that I'm not imagining this but I swear this brewer makes a stronger cup of coffee! It was like how real coffee is supposed to taste & reminded me of when I used to fill a paper filter with coffee to brew a whole pot. It was lovely. Mmm! It heats up & brews coffee quickly. You don't have to stand around waiting for the machine to finally finish brewing. I estimate that it took about a minute and a half. The coffee is nice and hot. I add creamer to my coffee and it was still piping hot afterwards. One thing to note.. tall, insulated travel mugs will not fit under the brewer. The compact size of the brewer accommodates a regular to somewhat tall coffee cup up to 5 1/2" tall. At $30.99, this little, single serve coffee maker is a pretty good value for the money. It is easy to use, makes a great tasting cup of coffee and takes up very little space on your countertop. I really liked this coffee maker. I have a name brand one similar to this, but it holds water. I don't like that and don't think it is safe because I don't always drink coffee every day. I also share with 3 people, so my other gets busy. I hooked this one up, oh it works great! it has water reservoir so I can see if I put correct amount in or if any is left. it is a smaller, more economy size, I can make a regular cup of coffee or a larger one to put in my to-go mug. It is small enough to sit in a large tote bag, it is not heavy, it can be taken along if you are on the go, need extra at work, etc. The taste was good, nothing different. It came with 2 pods, you can add your own pod that is premade, or you can add coffee powder to the cup. You can reuse the cups so no added waste. A plus, compared to traditional coffee pot, it fills into your cup straight from the maker, you don't have to wait on the water to stop dripping, pour from pot to cup, and spill everywhere. this is perfect if you live alone, or just drink one or 2 cups, you won't waste much. Since the coffee empties into a cup, the machine is done. It will not keep coffee warm after it has been made. It also has a button that turns red when it is time to clean. All you do is add solution and push button, it does the rest. I recommend this coffee maker, and it would make great gift. If you have never used a pod before for coffee, I suggest reading note description closely on the boxes.
