This lamp is perfect! It is EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED! I needed a very small lamp to fit on a wall shelf in my son's nursery. Nothing too bright, just enough so it wasn't pitch black for my baby boy during rocking and feedings, 40 watts does just the job just right! I've seen a lot of complaints that people thought they were buying a full sized lamp. It clearly states in the title that this is a "Mini Lamp". If you scroll down to the "Technical Details" (which you should always do if you are buying anything online) it says that the height of the lamp is 9.4 inches and that the width of the lamp shade is 5.5 inches. This worked perfectly for me as my wall shelf is only 7 inches wide. To give you a better idea of the size, it is about 1/2" taller than a Little Golden Book. I have also read another silly complaint claiming that the lamp shade itself is a fire hazard because it comes with plastic over it that could melt. It does indeed have plastic to protect it while being shipped, but it also has a sticker instructing you to "remove plastic before use". All in all this is a very good little lamp for someone who needs something tiny, slightly dim, and inexpensive. ... show more

I laughed my head off when I opened the box. Even though I measured and I knew what to expect, it still took me by surprise to see how minute this lamp is in real life! I have a basket of goose eggs, and this diminutive lamp base is almost the exact same size! I love it though. It’s perfect as a night light in our downstairs guest bathroom. I have just ordered another for the upstairs guest bathroom. Note: I found that a traditional chandelier bulb, which is the size base it has, is too tall and it protruded out of the top of the lampshade, so I’m using a 4 watt nightlight bulb. Consider ordering some of those while you’re at it ;-) A friend came over last night and I was telling her about my new, Lilliputian lamp. Right there and then she ordered two for her bathrooms :-D ... show more

This little lamp is such a cute room accessory. The colors offer bright options. Bear in mind that the lamp is little! It's made for a small night stand or table. It would be sweet on a dresser or in a nursery or young child's room. Definitely versatile! At 40 watts, it's definitely brighter than a nightlight, but it doesn't fill a room with bright light; the light is soft. I purchased an orange one for a small night stand and have purchased a blue one for my dresser. The 2 together will light up my bedroom well - one alone will keep it soft. I bought this lamp and when I got it I saw that it was small. The lamp is as advertised. One of the things I did not see on the advertisement is that the lamp uses a 40 watt candelabra type of light. I had a few laying around and used one of them. The lamp works like a charm. It is a good product. I have it programmed with a smart plug and it works well. The media could not be loaded. I bought this lamp for my daughter. She has migraines and the overhead lights are too bright sometimes. This lamp is perfect for her. It give off enough light to illuminate the entire room but soft enough to not bother her. We bought 40w bulbs for it because it does it come with bulbs. Nice small lamp that I use for my home's bar area. I had some slim chandelier light bulbs that fit just fine. This is a small lamp and is a nice accent item but if you're looking to use it as a reading lamp, you might need to get brighter bulbs and elevate it. Alternatively, it can be used as a pretty effective night light if you have elderly folk who need some light at night to get around... It does look really nice in my bar area and gives it a neat ambience without taking up much space. I was looking for something small and this works very well for my needs.
