I bought two of these in black. Yes, they are cute and would work as a night light with a night light bulb which is what I intended to do with an LED night light bulb. Based on other reviews I wouldn't trust this with a hotter bulb. However, they lamps are way too light weight wobbly, too easy to tip over and very fragile! Before I unraveled one of the cords, I set it on a table and the cord dangling off the edge had enough weight to pull the lamp to the floor. Broke into a million pieces. The bottom is made of a pretty fragile ceramic and due to the light weight of it and the heaviness of the cord, the cord pulled it off the table. The other thing is why did they put a stark white cord on a black lamp? It stands out horribly. I will have to look for something a little more solid and stable. But having so easily broken one before I got to try it out, I have the other one, but will not be purchasing this again. ... show more

Been using it for half a week now, no problems. Switched shades with an orange one, looks alright. The soft light from the 40 Watt candelabra bulbs I bought for them is relaxing, and they don't get too hot, though I'd read reviews saying the lampshades melted. Too small, they say?
