I'm already 5'8" so I don't necessarily NEED the wedge, but sometimes it's fun to HAVE the wedge, ya know? The style is meant to mimic the high-top style and it almost does, but it needs to have maybe one or two more shoelace-holes-worth added to the overall height of the column to 'break' against your ankle in the right way. Aka, make the actual "column" still the usual hightop length from the inside of the footbed vs from the bottom of the shoe. I LOVE the comfort of the wedge, the look overall, but I wouldn't want to have the shorter column cutting into the back of my ankle in the wrong spot the whole day. Bummer, because I've always liked the old-school look of the traditional Chuck's hightop. I sent these back and will stick to the low tops for a big longer. ... show more

Absolutely adorable, I can finally wear casual shoes with a little bit of height to them. Shipping took longer than it should have however that was not the seller it was Amazon. Highly recommended these shoes with the hidden wedge!
