The unit does appear to be flimsy, but it’s sturdier than it looks. Given that I never move it around, its strength isn’t an issue for me. After reading multiple 50/50 reviews on how it wouldn’t come together properly I was a bit weary. After the lamp arrived I had it together, by myself in 5 mins. As long as you don’t force anything to screw on it should be fine. I ended up buying another.
