We received this machine nearly 3 months ago and it still does not work. The gas will not ignite. We have had the gas company out a number of times to ensure it’s not the gas connection that’s the issue. We contacted the seller, they directed us to the manufacturer. The manufacturer sent us to the local repair company. The repair company will not respond to our request for service. We reported all of this back through chain of the seller, manufacturer and finally to Amazon customer service and they keep telling us to retry the repair company, who again, is not reachable. It’s a continual loop of inefficiencies. We’ve done more in-depth research on the product now that we’ve been dealing with this and it seems like these type of problems with the heater are common. This purchase was a huge, expensive mistake and apparently we are stuck with it. I would recommend trying a different product altogether as you are basically just crossing your fingers it works out of the box and definitely do yourself a favor and don’t purchase a large item from this seller or Amazon as they will not help you if there is a problem.

Received this heater and was so anxious to get it installed. We had it for a month before installing, got everything done and it wouldn’t fire. Come to find out I got a propane heater, when I thought I ordered a natural gas heater. No help from Amazon or the pool place. Now we can’t even get a propane to gas conversion kit. So Disappointing!

Nowhere in this listing g does it say that this is a lp heater. Very disappointed. I have natural gas. Perhaps I should have done my own research. Yes. But not identifying the type of gas is horrible. If they had done that then I wouldn't have made the purchase.

Ive had two of these. The first one lasted 2 years and developed a leak in the heater core. Out of warranty. The second one has developed a leak after 8 months, under warranty, but as of yet two emails and calls to Hayward support — crickets.

Be very careful! The description for this item does not say whether this is propane or natural gas. The item shown here is propane. After reading the description and reviews, I thought it was natural gas and ordered it. When it arrived, it was propane. Shame on the vendor for omitting this VERY important detail from the product specifications..
