After reading other reviews, I hesitated to purchase the lamp, thinking it was not of the quality I would expect. In the end, I did purchase and I'm glad I did. I found the quality to be consistent with higher priced products. The threads to connect the vertical rods were well machined and were over 1/2 inch, providing a ridged and sturday connection. The base is heavier than you would expect based on reading other reviews and is more than adequate to hold the lamp upright. Very pleased with this lamp for the price. For a lamp, it is pretty bright, especially when both bulbs are on. Not so much to brightly light a large room, but enough to add plenty of light for reading/working on activities and to illuminate a dark area. The lamp was easy to assemble, and seems pretty sturdy. It has had no issues with staying on or dimming or anything of the sort, and I have had it for around eight months (since late March 2021). It has stayed on almost constantly, and has not had any issues. The only few issues I have had with this lamp are minor. For one, after moving it around a bit and rotating it, the poles began to loosen somewhat, though this was because I unintentionally loosened them. I was able to tighten them back up easily, however. I also find that it will wobble a bit if you push on it or if you lightly kick the base. It does not wobble when walking by it or even when I stomped near it. It does not seem that it is in danger of falling over or anything like that, even if you kick or push it lightly. It probably would if you run into it hard enough though. Overall I am very pleased with this lamp, especially at the price it is, and highly recommend it. It is quite bright for a lamp; it has two light fixtures, one of which is adjustable/movable; it is easy to assemble; it looks exactly like the image shown and is stylish; and it is pretty sturdy. ... show more

    • Don't waste your money!

This lamp is low priced for a very good reason. It isn't even worth what is charged for it. Assembly is required - there are several tubular sections (approximately 1/2" diameter) that must be screwed together. The sections have the wiring inside, and there is an excess of wire. It was very difficult for me to assemble, I had to have my wife hold part of it in order to assemble it. However, on my lamp, one of the sections had only about 1/8" of threads, and they were stripped, so the two sections could not be put together the way it was intended. I first tried to super glue the sections together - no luck. I then used strapping tape to put the sections together - still no luck. Finally, I taped a large paint-can stir-stick onto the sections to act as a splint. Even though the splint does hold it together, the lamp is an inferior product, and the upright pole that holds the lamps is not of sufficient strength to stand completely vertical. Because of the new way that Amazon is handling returns (UPS must print the return label, after you provide the code that Amazon sends you), and the fact that taking apart what I had assembled was a real pain, returning the product would have been a great hassle. We do not have an UPS Store close by, and the regional shipping location for UPS would not print the label, so I would have had to drive 45 miles to the nearest UPS store. What a pain! This is what I had to do for a previous return last week. Eventually I was able to find a UPS driver who helped by getting the label printed, and he came to my house to pick up the package. So with all these considerations I did what I could to use the thing. It took both my wife and myself almost an hour to assemble this lamp, so I'm keeping it. Fortunately it is in a location in the house where its appearance doesn't matter. The bottom line is don't waste your money. ... show more
