Opened up my ice maker and got it set up outside at my camp site. Cycling the first water through to make sure no particles or dirt in the ice after giving it a wash. It's putting out ice very quickly, much faster than I expected. The ice is clear and not too thick for munching on. Pics give a reference as to the size of ice and ice maker.     • Stopped working after 3 months!
This thing has had to be reset multiple times. It would stop working, we would unplug it, and give it a day or so, then plug it back in. While inconvenient, it seemed to do the trick, but now it's not running at all. The website is a joke. I tap on the link and nothing happens. Don't waste your money like my family member did on this. Our built in ice dispenser in our refrigerator happily supplies plastic dust and is therefore a health hazard. We don’t use a lot of ice but wanted something that could supply occasional ice cubes for home use. When in operation, this unit produces ice at an acceptable rate but it needs frequent monitoring. The water reservoir needs refilling every few hours, the ice bin needs emptied more frequently than that, and the ice is wet enough that it sticks together when put into a container and stored in the freezer. It works but needs attentive tending. It is moderately sized, like a toaster oven and light enough to move out of the way when not in use. It has a drain plug, but the plug is impossible to use. Tipping over the sink is cumbersome and is best performed by a larger person. It works. It’s economical. I might try for a mini freezing unit and ice trays instead. I am adequately satisfied with the purchase. ... show more
