The light is bright and close to others in the 2,700 range but it seems off just a bit, perhaps a tad brighter, than some other bulbs of the same value in other fixtures. If you have a multiple bulb fixture say above the bathroom mirror, you should buy the lower wattage ones. Same size just not crazy bright like these. These will do well in a single bulb like a hanging lamp above the Kitchen Table. I put them in my bathroom vanity and when I went in to wash up before bed and turned on the light it was like going outside on a sunny day. That's the only negative but only on my part. Here are the pluses as compared to CFL. The color of the light is much whiter. The get bright instantly, no warm up time. They use half the power of CFL, they'll last much longer than any other type bulb and they don't get HOT!!! ... show more
