These bulbs had a lot of thought put into them. The Flickering cycle is spot on. If you watch them for a few moments, you cannot see the cycle loop. I put them in 2 table lamps that were a bit too bright with 40W frosted bulbs for watching TV. They give the room a great feeling of actual fire lamps of old. However, I do wish they were half again brighter. They put on a great show but are equivalent to a 3 flame candle, through the shade. The lights look and the flaming movement looks good. However, after using the lights outdoors for the last few years in a lamppost which is safe from rain and snow, they become brittle. I went to remove the bulb from the fixture as I was installing a new electric eye and the light house which is plastic literally crumbled in my hand. So, it is still sitting the lamppost, the led's are mounted in a paper like material and it is still working. For something that is cheaply made this sez a lot about the light. If you ever need to replace the bulb after being outside for any length of time, be careful removing it. Once it warms up, I will remove and put in the spare one. ... show more

First night, the light was exactly what I hoped for. Super cool! Second night, it slowly flashed. I was disappointed that it only lasted one day. Third night, back to what it should be. Some ideas given for a review from Amazon are (ease of installation) well let me tell you what, it doesn’t get much easier than screwing in a light bulb. They are kind of bulky and white so if it’s by the front door I’d recommend frosted glass in the fixture being used, we put ours out back on the garage lights so it’s far enough to not be a big deal. they look great when on and there are two modes, solid on and flame which can be used socket side up or down and automatically changes. ... show more
