Dislikes: Not Govee's fault, but it would be nice if Alexa understood the variations of colors, she doesn't understand the color Teal, and on occasion has an issue with Orange. Haven't gone through all the color shifts possible, but sure I'll find more that Alexa doesn't understand in time. Only other dislike I have, again, not Govee's fault, but Alexa doesn't understand the "Dreamscape" mode where the bulb(s) can pick up sound with their built-in microphone, so they can automatically color shift to the music you're playing. Would have been nice if Alexa could access that aspect of these bulbs using voice commands, but I couldn't get Alexa to comply with entering that mode for these bulbs. Likes: I can voice control the bulbs with Alexa and can shift intensity or color, within Alexa's comprehension, so at least the basic control is available. But if I want the lights to hear music or sounds, I have to use the Govee Home App to do that. Minor inconvenience, would have been nice if Alexa could have been used for this option as well. Set up in the Govee app can be a bit daunting, but once you understand their Control App and get it linked to your Amazon account, set-up is fairly easy to do, and easy to add to Alexa once that hurdle is done. Lights are very bright at 100%, much better than I expected, especially with the White color, I have to use it at 10% when using my computer because it's glaring at 100%, the 10% setting is ideal for my computer table lamp to use while on my computer. If not using the computer, 100% lights up my living room very well, even at 50%, the bulb lights up my living room area very nicely, but still too bright for being on the computer. LOL These bulbs are very nice, seem to be easy to use and set the variations of color easily (in the Govee App), like stated in my dislikes, Alexa has some issues when asking to change the color on some colors, again, minor annoyance if using Alexa for full control of these bulbs. I have 2, one in a living room lamp and one in a small table lamp on my nightstand. Alexa turns them off and on nicely, sets intensity easy enough, Alexa only has issues when requesting certain colors to be used, like Teal, and sometimes Orange. Other than these things I consider minor annoyances, these bulbs work fantastic, due pretty much what you want them to do. And I can definitely recommend them.

I used to use all Tuya Smart/Smart Life plugs and bulbs but I had a problem where they would request an IP address once, then after the DHCP lease expired they would stop functioning because they would not renew the lease on their IP. I also hated setting up the smart bulbs because you had to quickly switch the power to the bulb on and off three times to put it into setup mode, which isn't always convenient or even possible depending on the type of fixture they're being put into. Also those bulbs would flash on and off during the setup, which triggered my anxiety and made it hard to finish the setup. I also found that the other brand of bulbs/switches were very unreliable during setup, often requiring me to run through the setup 4 or 5 times seemingly for no reason before they would connect. I didn't have any of those problems with the Govee bulbs. When I put them into the socket they just turn on and stay on. Then the app does the setup through Bluetooth LE, which is a much more reliable method. I also like the integration of these bulbs with Govee's 6-button remote. It lets me turn the lights on and off or control other functions like brightness or color using a physical remote, so I don't have to get my phone out or shout at the smart assistant every time I want to turn a light on or off without getting up. Govee's ecosystem integration is easy to set up and the cross-functionality of their products makes them more useful. My first Govee product was a smart humidifier. I was so impressed with the quality and reliability of the product that I decided to slowly migrate all of my other smart devices by replacing them with products from Govee's ecosystem. I now have a smart humidifier, 2 temperature/hygrometers that integrate with the humidifier, a smart air purifier and several smart bulbs and sockets. They are all of excellent quality and very reliable. I have never had to re-set them up or restart them like I had to with the Smart Life/Tuya Smart products. Govee also has reliable and useful customer support. They do their best to get back to you quickly despite being in China. They usually get back to me within a couple of days and it takes only one or two interactions to get a problem resolved. I like that I can submit and manage my tickets right in the app without having to go through email or their website. Since my rommate has been having endless problems with his Smart Life/Tuya Smart products I'm going to suggest that he migrate to Govee as well.

Absolutely amazing, I bought some of these lights 2 years ago and my old ones work perfectly; I’m slowly changing all the bulbs in my house to Govee’s brand! They connect to my phone within seconds, maybe if I haven’t been at the house in a while it’ll take longer than a second but it’s amazing. When the lights are on for a long time it does produce a little heat, not overbearing like regular lights but enough to know it was in use, the lights are amazing, they get very bright and all the multi colors you’re able to use makes the device fun!

I really love these Govee lights! They’re super bright, easy to set up, and the colors and effects are awesome, they’ve totally upgraded the vibe in my room. The app is user-friendly to which is a plus. My only issue is that one of the lights randomly disconnects from WiFi, which can be a little frustrating when I’m trying to control all the lights at once. But overall, they work great and I’m still really happy with them!

These Govee smart bulbs are fantastic—super easy to set up, work perfectly over WiFi and Bluetooth, and the brightness is spot on. But here’s the thing: I don’t actually use the color-changing feature. Nope, I’m one of those boring folks who just want good white light and zero disco vibes. If you’re into turning your room into a rainbow rave, these bulbs got your back. Me? I’m just here for reliable lighting without the hassle of flipping switches. So, great bulbs, just don’t expect me to throw any color parties anytime soon.
