Summary: Quick and easy to set up, with a strong and reliable 2.4 GHz WiFi connection. Grouping works exactly how I need it, scheduling has helped with my child’s morning routine, and the bulbs respond consistently through both the Feit app and Alexa. ⚙️ Smart Device WiFi Setup: The one thing to be aware of is that these lights work best on a properly configured 2.4 GHz WiFi network. If your router combines 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz into one network, you may need to split the bands so you can connect the lights specifically to 2.4 GHz. In most routers, this is found in the WiFi or Wireless settings section of the router app or web dashboard. I also had to confirm the security was set to WPA2 and adjust the 2.4 GHz advanced settings so the connection stayed stable, including locking the channel bandwidth to 20 MHz instead of auto. These options are usually located under Advanced WiFi or Advanced Wireless settings. Once those settings were adjusted, the lights have worked flawlessly without disconnects. Every now and then I need to turn the power off for about 30 seconds, and then they reconnect. I’m not a tech support person, and once I knew which settings to look for, the fix was straightforward. I personally used ChatGPT as a guide to understand which settings to change and where to find them. Full Review: I have six of these Feit smart bulbs installed now. Three are in the living room and the other three are split between the master bedroom and my child’s room. Setup in the Feit app was quick and straightforward. I grouped the master bedroom and living room lights so they turn on together, and I have my floor lamp set up separately through Alexa for individual control. The scheduling feature has been especially helpful for our mornings. My child’s light turns on at the time they need to get up for school, which makes the routine easier. I also shared access with my child’s and spouse’s accounts, and the controls work smoothly for everyone. These bulbs connect through 2.4 GHz WiFi, and once I confirmed that during setup the connection has been very reliable. On rare occasions the bulbs stop syncing, but a quick reset fixes it. I turn the wall switch off for about 30 seconds (or leave it off while I’m out) and everything reconnects once the switch is turned back on. To avoid accidental power cuts, we installed light switch covers, which has helped keep everything running consistently. The app layout can feel a little busy at first, but once the rooms and groups are organized it becomes much more user friendly. ⭐ Overall: I’m very happy with these bulbs and don’t plan on switching brands. I’ve become a Feit user for life because of how easy these are to use and how dependable they’ve been in daily routines. 🔄 Update 1/8/26: After switching internet providers to AT&T, my Feit smart lights reconnected automatically as long as the new AT&T router used the same 2.4 GHz WiFi name and password as the old router. Keeping the network name the same made the transition seamless, and no resets were needed. If the WiFi name is changed on the AT&T router, switching the lights to a new network is still very easy through the Feit app. Another option that worked well for me was enabling the Guest WiFi through the AT&T router’s Advanced WiFi settings. I adjusted the Guest WiFi settings under the WiFi section and used it as a dedicated 2.4 GHz network for smart devices. Once enabled, the lights connected quickly and stayed stable. If you also use Feit smart plugs, keeping the same WiFi name and password or using a dedicated Guest WiFi network is especially helpful since it allows them to reconnect automatically.     • I'm light sensitive to LED and can use these bulbs!

For years I have avoided LED bulbs in favor of incandescent because I need the warmer hues or I have migraines. My partner bought these bulbs for a room I rarely use and I was surprised to find that I can tolerate the light they produce. The app is finicky, but has a lot of options. I had one evening where I had to reinstall the app because it kept deleting the lights from the menu options after they had been turned off. It can be hard to change color sometimes without having to turn the light off/on and then go back into the settings. Otherwise, the ability to change the hues and intensity work pretty well and allow me to do fine adjustments so that I can use these lights. The music/party function doesn't work at all with most of the music I have tried because it causes a weird strobing affect unlike other lights I've seen with the same feature. At this point, I've installed these bulbs in all the rooms of the house because it's nice to have something I can use without headaches. ... show more

    • Great affordable bulb with intuitive and multi-featured app

I haven't tried to connect this with Alexa or Google Home so I can't speak to that. That aside, this is the brightest colour changing lightbulb I've been able to find. It's also far cheaper than bigger brand names. I first saw the set of two 800lm colour changing bulbs at Costco, so I figured it must be a pretty reliable brand and got this one for my desk, where I use the bluish white light in daytime to keep me more awake--I feel like it's working, but at the very least my workspace is brightly lit now! It's easy to install and sync with the Feit app that you do have to download and make an account for (email or phone number). You can group several light bulbs together so if you have a ceiling light with two Feit bulbs, you can change both of their settings as a single group, which is nice organization. It's also really bright and hasn't had any trouble with flickering whatsoever and transitions between the colours quickly via the app. I can also turn the lamp's switch off, and the light bulb will not forget the previous settings I had applied when turned back on. You won't be able to connect to the bulb via the app if you switch the lamp off, though. I hear light bulbs being reset every time you turn the switch off is a common problem with other brands. Finally, like the other reviewers mentioned, it is true that the bulb gets A LOT dimmer when you are using a colour outside of the standard 'white' spectrum (2700K-6500K). This is probably more a physical limitation and not specific to Feit's bulbs, since white light is a combination of all coloured light so once you change it to another colour you are necessarily blocking out light from certain parts of the colour spectrum e.g. if you set it to the colour red, you are necessarily blocking out blue and green light which would make the light bulb 1/3 as bright as white light. At least, I THINK that's how it works. I did also try the Phillips bulbs and they have the same reduction in brightness when used in colour mode. If you're mostly using it along the white light spectrum, this is a GREAT bulb for that. You can use it in the colour mode too, but know that it will be mostly for mood lighting and not very helpful as far as a source of lighting goes. ... show more

    • They Make the Light, but They Don't Always Do It 'Right'

Light bulbs themselves are about as great as a lightbulb can get. They do the colors, they make the light, they're cheap, and they're easy to install. The reason for the missing star is their connection to the Alexa app requires them to be configured within the Feit Electric app and then joined to Alexa via a skill. This is all well and good, but if you are trying to include them in a grouping of bulbs that are a mix of Feit and Alexa-native bulbs these will disappoint. There is lag in Alexa routine execution, sometimes the bulb simply ignores the command, and sometimes the bulb honors the change for a split second before reverting to its prior config.     • Old Feit bulbs were great, new ones are trash.

I have had Feit bulbs for years with no issues, easy to use and reliable so I figured I would stay brand loyal. Excited to get my new bulbs today and immediately started installing. Ran into problems right off the bat. Lights would not pair. Updated app, restarted my phone, disconnected and re connected to my wifi multiple times. Opened and closed the app. Finally got one to pair after about 45 minutes of trial and error. Ok whatever as long as it works. Well I go to change the color and nothing happens. Won't dim, won't turn off with app won't choose a color. Turn off light restart app etc. Finally get it to be a red, but I don't want red, I want purple. Slide the color wheel to purple and nothing happens. After about two minutes I see the color wheel go back to the red position. Slide it to purple and it turns purple, but not quite the right shape so I adjust it... And nothing happens again. My older Feit bulbs will change easily in real time at the slightest adjustment in the app. Why are these new ones so fickle. Well whatever it's kind of purple so I leave it. Come back into the room and it's bright white again. I turn it off and look at the app and it says the light is on even tho there is no power going to it. Turn it back on and not it's white and dim. Won't change colors. I tried this with three diff bulbs out of the 6 pack and they all have the same issues. I've spent almost two hours trying to make a couple light bulbs work. I think it's false advertising calling these "smart" bulbs. Also the QR code that offers 24/7 help assistance gives you a 404 error when you scan it. Whatever they did when they changed these bulbs turned them into complete trash. Don't waste your time. Won't be buying Feit again. ... show more

I’ve been using the FEIT brand for years. They are such amazing products!! I purchased two 3 packs of this bulb. As always my experience with the FEIT brand it’s TOP quality!! The colors are so amazing. If you want a white light, you can literally change it within he app or ask Alexa/Echo or your voice command enabled device to change the colors, turn the light(s) on or off. The set up was very quick within the app. It’s INCREIDIBLE value for the price point. The bulbs las for years. Great and seamless compatibility with your Alexa/Echo enabled device. Well I've been using this Feit Electric for a couple years now because my bedroom didn't have a light and I ordered a shop light for my bedroom where you can just plug it into wall and I hanged it on the wall and it comes with a Wi-Fi to connect to Wi-Fi and you can have a app use it so if you're going to get the shop light I use the Wi-Fi mode If you have Wi-Fi and use the app because it will get bright when it's 100% so much bright it will blind you I can't mind down to one percent and the shop light has a extra plug on it where you can hook up another shop light and in 2025 I bought another one for my back porch and I'm using the Wi-Fi mode The shop light and you can set it what time comes on what times goes off it's perfect and what I mention all that because I love this company because it's shop lights are bright The light bulbs is not bright like the shop lights but it's better than regular light bulbs and regular Dollar tree light bulb smart light bulb because you can actually turn the brightness up and it's perfect I got a three pack I got one for the dining room where I can make it bright and I got one for the front room where my mother can make her settings to make it bright so I'm just saying yes worth the money with this company so anything with this name with this company I say go for it the shop lights are 60 bucks ... show more
