I cant give this machine a good recommendation since I only got 6 months use out of it. I used it last summer and it worked fine. When i set it up to use again this summer, it quit working a few days after the warranty expired. Wouldnt you know thats the way it goes> i called customer service and they were very nice and I suppose trying to be helpful>. I described the problem and they asked for a receipt of purchase and of course they were sure to let me know it was out of warranty. They also wanted me to make a video of what was going on and send it to them. I got a reply that they sent it to the engineering department and they suggested I need to order a replacement part for $16.00. I thought maybe that was a good thing so I placed the order> They also sent me a link to a You Tube video of how to install this new part. I got the part a few days later so I started watching the You Tube video> It was someone taking the machine apart very quickly and there was NO Audio> i watched it at least 10 times to make sure I knew what to do.. When I felt confident enough to tackle it, I managed to take it apart and replace the part. you are supposed to let the machine sit upright for at least 24 hours before plugging in and starting up. I did that and obviously that part wasnt the problem. So now Im stuck with machine to dispose of because Ive given up on it> I didnt particularly like the ice cubes it made anyway> It made them very slowly and I noticrd they melted very quickly in drinks. My old fashioned ice trays make much better ice. Id say dont waste your money on this ice machine or maybe any portable ice machine. ... show more

Its Easy to use. 1st thing is to let it set upright for 24hrs. 2nd cleaning the ice maker machine. I used the ice maker cleaning tablets. I ran 6 cycles. Then drained and dried out the remaining and ran 2 more cycles to be on the safe side. Ice production speed is excellence. It makes noise when i ice is dispensing. You will know when the ice is ready the color comes out clear and hard bullet ice. Not mushy. I put some ice and my cup and pour cold water in my cup. It was super cold. Then i tried it with room temperature water bottle the members mark i get from yall know. And when i tell you that water got cold quick. Felt like it was in a stanley cup. I recommend you get this product. Its worth buying. It comes with scooper and holder. This was a best investment. I had a previous ice maker that i dont know whats wrong with it. It was also good but the bullet ice was hard and sometimes soft. Im glad i got this one for a replacement. 10 out of 10 The only issue i might have is that the sticker at the top is lumpy. I dont know what all that is about. Im talking about where it has the small/large on/off that part. ... show more

I’ve had this nugget ice maker for a few months now and wanted to use it for a while before reviewing it. Overall, I really love having it! The nugget ice is crunchy, soft enough to chew, and it makes ice surprisingly quickly. For our family, it produces enough ice throughout the day for me and the kids. I can fill two 32-ounce bottles and one 20-ounce bottle each morning before school, so it has been a great addition to our kitchen. There are a couple of things I don’t love. The machine is noticeably louder when the water level gets low, which can be annoying. I also wish it had a way to keep the ice cold and maintain the ice level instead of allowing it to melt and then automatically making more ice. That would make it even more convenient. Overall, though, we use it every day and really enjoy having fresh nugget ice whenever we want it. Definitely a great addition for our family. ... show more

makes great ice but screen is a pain in the ***

Product is great , makes good solid ice .. However there is a tiny plastic screen that goes in where you put the water that wont stay in place and requires a smaller hand to put in . The ice does stick together a little bit after you stick it in the freezer but breaks up easy.

When I first received it, I was going to return it. When I opened it up things looked OK, but when I opened the lid there was a loose screw sitting in the tank. OK, not a big deal. Then it doesn’t sit flat on the counter, it rocks side to side. I tried it on multiple smooth granite surfaces with the same results. Very strange since the feet are molded in. That was almost a deal breaker, but I put it on a silicon pad which reduced the rocking. I waited the required 24 hours in an upright position and turned it on. The description says whisper quiet 35 dB. Not so much. Even in just the quiet part of the cycle it is over 55 dB and makes even more noise when it is moving water around or dropping the ice. Otherwise, it does what is says. It makes reasonable ice relatively quickly. It will fill up the basket with about half the water in the tank and then you will have to dump that out to get the rest of the water to turn into ice. It stops automatically when the basket is filled, and you get a little red light on the top. It is very easy to use, just add water and turn it on. You just have to select large or small cubes (there is not much difference between them). You can not leave the cubes in the ice maker as it is not refrigerated. They are easy to remove, just lift out the basket. They are however very wet with water dripping off or out of them. I need to use a towel underneath when moving the cubes and bang it a little to get some of the water off. The more water that remains the more they will freeze together if and when you stick them in the freezer. It is not too bad, and they break up pretty easy. In the end I didn’t return it. I looked at several other and they all appear to have the same mechanism to make the ice, they are just wrapped differently. There was one that appeared to be more insulated, so I assume quieter, but it was twice the price that I paid for this one and still had the same mechanism. For half the price and not having to deal with the hassle I decided to keep the noisy rocky one. ... show more

Blew it out of the park with this ice maker!

I absolutely love this ice maker. The option for two different ice sizes is great and makes it really versatile depending on what you’re using it for. It produces ice incredibly fast—about 9 to 10 pieces in roughly 9 minutes—which is a total game changer for our household. Since our refrigerator doesn’t make ice, this has been such a convenient upgrade. It’s reliable, easy to use, and keeps up with our daily needs without any issues. The only downside is having to clean it monthly with Clorox to prevent bacteria buildup, but that’s pretty standard for most ice makers and easy to manage with routine maintenance. Great little ice maker

I love the product works beautiful and I don't know what else you can say about it produces.Ice, very quick and there's no funny flavors, no nothing, it's really, really good My only complaint is for some reason. Amazon does not deliver to my door they put my boxes and everything else. I buy from them in front of everyone else's door and all our doors are clearly numbered. I'm a 7, and they put it in front of unit, A5A big difference. I think Amazon needs to make sure that the packages get delivered to the right door and when they take their photo of proof I think they ought to include the door number. It's in front of not just the door Mat in the floor that's just my only complaint. Other than that, it'd be five stars ... show more

Not properly insulated, ice begins melting as soon as it is made

I wanted to love this ice maker, but it is mediocre at best. There are a number of problems with it, but I will start with the positive. First and foremost, it really does make ice quickly. You will definitely have roughly 7-9 cubes within minutes of turning it on. It seems reasonably well-made, study and is easy to use. Cleaning seems like it would be a snap if I were keeping it. That said, this machine has two significant problems that will cause me to shop for another. It simply isn't properly insulated. Why does that matter? Well, these little ice makers only have enough refrigeration capacity to make ice. So, anything sitting in the bin will begin to melt instantly. So, if you wait until the bin is full, you'll be waiting all day as the ice melts, leaving the runoff in the reservoir to cycle back into ice. What ice you do get out of it tends to instantly clump because it's so wet, so off-loading it into a freezer is an option - but you'll have to wait around standing next to the machine to actually be able to use the machine to capacity. This all could have been avoided by using an insulated lid with a small window (this assumes that the body of the machine is actually insulated - not sure that it is with as poorly as it performs). Additionally, the image shows the basket brimming with ice - that is a flat out falsehood. The ice won't even come up level to the basket before it senses the basket is full. So you get a Yeti tumbler's worth of ice before it shuts off. Finally, heed the commenters about NOISE. This sucker iS LOUD. We have a great room and this device sits next to the fridge (which also has its own ice maker). This device is many times louder than the fridge's ice maker *when it's on TURBO*. All-in-all, it's cheap and semi-effective, but I'll be shopping around for its replacement even though I've only had it a few days. ... show more
