Growing up in the Muay Thai culture, I remember training in Thailand twice a day at 3 hours per session (of course I was younger then)... and now if I had to bring that experience to the States and make it fun for everyone - this is exactly the DVD set I would have wanted to make. At less than an hour per workout, these workouts are not only effective, but they are FUN! As an older working parent now, I get the fun that I used to have in my youth with the flexibility of popping in a workout anytime - day or night. No excuse. Actually, I won't need an excuse because it is fun enough that I'll keep coming back - often mixing it with other BeachBody products like P90X3. Great work!!!     • This program has great workouts and the eating plan isn't hard to follow ...
I'm currently 9 days in. Definitely seeing results. I have been battling an arthritic flair up for most of last year and just in the last few months started to receive proper treatment. This has caused me to be tremendously overweight due to pain and immobility. At first the workouts were hard and physically demanding. But now that I'm getting used to them, the time is going by faster and the moves aren't as strenuous. This program has great workouts and the eating plan isn't hard to follow as long as you are willing to plan out meals. If you are looking for a fun program, this is it. ... show more

    • Great workout!
I bought this program as a new challenge for my body. I do spinning and toning classes at the gym, but wanted to try something different and this program came recommended by a friend of mine. I have just completed the first 4 weeks of it and I did really enjoy it. I felt like I was working on different muscles and definitely was sweating with each workout. I also like the fact that you don't bounce/jump the entire time and have "breaks" to catch you breath. I have tried some other workouts but didn't like being completely out of breath the entire time. The only reason I give it 4 stars is that the meal plan recipes are very limited. I think more recipes would have made it more successful for people trying to lose weight. It's hard to come up with your own recipes just based on container sizes and the booklet came with only a few recipes. I found some crockpot recipes that were for 21 day fix and are not exactly the same as the core de force coloring. Given that diet is 80% of weight loss success, I would have created more recipes for people to use. ... show more

    • Sad that a DVD instructs me better than a live ...
I used to belong to a Title Boxing Club and this workout walks you through the proper stance, footwork, and arm movements so that you learn boxing moves correctly. Seems that the instructors at the boxing club just let me go wild with little instruction on their end. Sad that a DVD instructs me better than a live person did. So, yes, I would recommend this to anyone, just in case someone didn't teach you properly. The workouts get progressively harder, and they are similar to a real boxing workout. I plan to learn all of the moves and then move this over to my punching bag. ... show more

    • Fun work out to put into your rotation
This has been a fun workout and nice change of pace from my other works outs because it's MMA inspired. (I usually do T-25 Gamma, Body Beast and other Beachbody workouts, in addition to running). I have been doing it at the same time as 21 day fix and combined with that and the portion control system of 21 day fix have lost about 3.5 pounds in two weeks (why is it so hard to lose the pounds and so EASY to gain them). What I like best: it's fast-paced and is lead by pleasant and fun trainers who work out WITH you, and being reminded that I am a fighter and that I will fight to lose this weight and win. What I don't like: the work outs are long (most seems to be 37 or 47 minutes long) and a lot of the burn-outs and moves are repetitive - both in a single workout and throughout all the work outs. So, despite the fast pace and upbeat trainers, I am getting bored as I start my third week. I am counting down until I will be done with this program. That being said, I am still glad I chose it, and would recommend a friend try it (but to borrow it or buy it second-hand, not full price). I would rate it 3.5 or 3.75 if that were an option. ... show more

I am pleased with the results I am getting with this program and for the value, in think it's worth it. The DVD set is nicely set up and the calendar is fun to see as I progress and more x marks appear.

    • Good for Beginners, Boring for Novice/Advanced
I think it’s a great program just not challenging enough if you have done MMA work outs before. Also the music isn’t too motivating. I bought Les Mills combat back when it was still part of beach body. Now that Les Mills is its own thing I went with their on demand option and I am SO happy to be doing bodycombat again with Dan and Rach. The music is so fun and their combinations are much more challenging. I recommend this DVD if you are more of a beginner to MMA or working out, but you will find it boring if you are more novice or advanced. ... show more
