I like the fact that when it makes a tray of ice it stops when full. That way the machine is not constantly running. When it does run it is a little noisy. But it's something that you can easily get use too. You can select your ice thickness as well. I'm happy with the machine thus far.

I recently purchased this countertop Ice Maker after having a bullet ice maker for about a yr. I really didn't like the bullet ice cubes and it seemed to take forever to fill up my ice trays, so I purchased this one and I love the little square cubes it makes. It doesn't take me as long to make ice and my ice cubes seem to last longer in my drinks! I'm so impressed by this machine that I bought a second one for my Father in Law. He just moved and the fridge in his new place doesn't make ice, so I got him this ice maker and he likes the little cubes as well. Works well. Makes ice pretty fast. If your ice melts while lying in the container, the melted water is reused after you turn it back on again. The only downside is that it makes ice in these sheets that you have to hammer at to separate into cubes. Like, the cube forms are there but they are connected by thick ice, so if you don't want to hammer at your ice to separate it into individual cubes, pick a different machine. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Right after the 30 days which you can return this ice maker, it began making a horrible, loud noise. Either the fan is locking up, or a bearing has gone bad. It gets louder and louder squealing noise, and at first, I cleaned the unit really good to make sure it wasn't something needing to be cleaned. Within a week, it began doing it again. There is no way it could be dirty. We use only heavily filtered water, and there is no way to get any contaminants of any kind inside of the machine. The filtration system we use removed chlorine, bromine, and everything else that could cause a buildup in the machine. Even though the return period had ended at amazon, the company went out of their way to make me happy with a replacement. I have had no issues since that time. I am very pleased! I love how well this Ice maker works ice is done in like 12-14 minutes This only Issues I really have with it is 1. it makes Ice faster than I can get it into my freezer thank goodness what ever melts is recycled back into making more Ice. 2. I havent found bottles yet that I can put on top to constantly feed the Ice maker like it shows but like I said I have too much ice at this point anyway so it really isnt that big of an issue. ... show more
