This is great counter top ice maker. My freezers ice maker quit about a month ago, and the refrigerator is too old to put more money into. I like the way this operates and makes nice bullet type ice cubes. If you don't use it all the time the water gets funky in the machine, so I make ice on one day then drain out the water and wipe the inside clean and let it air out. Start fresh two or three days later and no nasty moldy stuff to clean out.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I bought a previous model countertop ice machine from Silonn and liked it well enough, but after 3 years the internal mechanisms started rusting and leeching into the water reservoir so I had to get a new machine. I purchased this model thinking the external water level gauge and light would be nice, as well as the clear plastic bucket to see how much ice was ready. So far, the only nice feature of this model is the water catching tray for when you pull out the ice bucket. Every. Thing. Else. Is. Inconvenient. 1) The operating manual instructs you to clean the machine weekly when the machine is in "standby" mode but does not say what standby mode looks like (vs the "red" or "green" light indicators) nor how to get the machine into standby mode. I ran into the same issue with the last model (if the machine is in standby mode when not actively making ice, but you have to remove the bucket to start cleaning, then it automatically goes back into ice making mode). 2) The rounded scoop that came with the machine barely fits into the ice bucket, even when the bucket is propped out as far as possible- meaning you essentially have to remove the ice bucket to scoop ice (even the old rectangular scoop from the last Silonn I had barely fits), which leads to the next inconvenience, 3) It instructs you to remove ice as soon as it's made, but that's the whole point of getting a countertop ice machine! You either don't have a freezer that makes ice or you don't have space in your freezer to store ice. Plus, if it makes ice every ~6 minutes- you're basically spending your day scooping out ice then turning off the machine so it stops making ice, then trying to remember to turn it on again when you're low on ice you don't have space to store. 4) I thought using the accompanying filling cup wouldn't be too big a deal, but the cup itself doesn't even fully fill the reservoir when the reservoir is empty, so you have to figure out how much water to measure in the graduated cylander so you're not repeatedly adding tiny amounts of water to get to the max line. 5) the "small" size ice is the same size as the "large" ice on my previous model, so this model burns through water more quickly. Once the bucket is full (again- full freezer so nowhere to store said ice), then you have to refill the reservoir. This machine has been a pain in my a$$ and NOT WORTH THE MONEY. There is little to no value in purchasing this specific model.

I was drawn to this ice maker because of its sleek design. It looks fantastic on my countertop, especially with the light on. It produces ice at a good pace and the cubes are nicely shaped. **Pros:** * **Attractive design:** It's a stylish addition to my kitchen. * **Efficient ice production:** Makes ice quickly and consistently. * **Well-formed ice cubes:** The cubes are a good size and shape. **Cons:** * **Noise level:** It's a bit louder than I'd like. * **Water spillage:** When removing the ice tray, water tends to drip onto the countertop. I've had to start keeping a paper towel in front of it to catch the drips. **Overall:** This ice maker is a great addition to my home. It looks good, makes ice quickly, and the ice itself is perfect. However, the noise and water spillage issues keep it from being a 5-star product. If you're not too sensitive to noise and don't mind a little extra cleanup, I'd still recommend it.

I absolutely love this ice maker it is the perfect size to put on your kitchen counter. So sleek. Very easy to use, makes a good amount of cubes. Has the choice of small or large. I love how it lights up and it makes the ice. Definitely worth the money. I am so pleased with it.

This makes ice, does the job, but the container that holds the ice that it makes does not keep the ice cold enough to not start melting before the whole ice cycle is done. So you get some melted ice in the end. I would recommend if it is the only thing you can afford.

Wasn't sure about the noise because that's what most reviews said was the main issue, but it's not loud at all-about as loud as a fan. The nuggets are a little bigger than expected, the large are about an inch or so and the small are maybe 3/4 of an inch. The ice also doesn't freeze really hard, so it's really easy to eat. Overall size is pretty small, fits perfectly on our counter.

I like the compact design, but the ice tray is on the smaller side. The most annoying thing about this machine is whenever you take the ice bin out, water from the bottom of the bin creates a mess. I would not recommend.
