This ice maker is amazing!! Such a great buy! It is a bit louder than expected but I love the size of pebble ice it creates and it’s made quickly. Very easy to use and taste is good. Update: I’ve only had this product for 6 months and the machine has malfunctioned. The machine does not make ice anymore. The noise it makes is insanely loud and I have no idea how to fix the machine. I have emailed the manufacturer and I have not heard back from them. There is not warranty or any information on getting this fixed. This product does not last long.

9/20/25 UPDATE: The machine has quit working altogether. I have to keep the ice maker machine in a tray that keeps it lifted during humid season. During winter it stays dry, but I am presently emptying the tray every other day during the monsoons. I blamed the kids dropping ice for weeks after purchasing it. The leaky condensation water bubbled up the wood and ruined the kitchen shelving that I had originally set it on. Then I realized it was the machine itself. I contacted the maker and got no response regarding the issue. Most recently I found 2 broken silver plastic pieces in the bottom of the water fill space. I contacted the seller again to see what these pieces may have broken off of inside the machine. The only response I got was an email that said to record a video showing them how the machine was broken. The machine is still working at this time, so can't show what's broken on it. It makes some crunching noises that can be heard through the house, but I apparently will not get any help from the maker, so I will use it until it stops working. The machine doesn't hold a lot of ice, but it does continuously drop the nuggets one at a time until it fills again. The machine itself isn't real big, has a nice appearance and has a nice blue-ish light that can be turned on and off inside the ice compartment. It sits above the ice basket. Will not purchase anything from this maker again.

Update 9/21/2022: Silonn never returned any of my emails or contacted me back. Don't buy this one. I lost the price of this item and because we really loved having an icemaker, now I have to purchase another one. I'm not happy. UPDATE: 08/14/2022: My beloved icemaker is now emitting an oily yellow chemical into the water retaining basin. As you can imagine, I won't be using this icemaker again! Naturally, it happens when I'm just past my Amazon return window so I've contacted the manufacturer, Silonn for assistance with getting a replacement. I will update my review according to their response. I do hope it was just a defective item and they will send me a new one. I miss it already! I'm taking one star off for now but if they replace it promptly and the new one works I'll add back the star! I've been looking at these for a while now since my new fridge didn't have an ice maker and I thought I could just use ice trays. TBH the ice trays just weren't for me. I work 3 jobs and I just don't have a lot of time to mess around with ice trays. I understand if you think that's stupid and if ice trays work for you, more power to you but they just didn't work for me. So, anyway, I've been looking at these countertop ice makers but they are so pricey and I just couldn't bring myself to hit "place order" on any of them. But I was going to have guests over for dinner and I wanted to have ice so I finally bought this one after researching about 50 of them. I LOVE it. I use it every single day and so does my daughter. I love having easy, quick access to ice without having to mess with ice trays. This machine is easy to refill, easy to clean and easy to operate. I've only used the small ice cubes and they are plenty large enough for me. It makes ice fast. It is a bit noisy but my kitchen is one of those kinda long ones so I just put it on the counter farthest from the living area and I really only hear it when I'm in the kitchen cooking and making noise anyway. If your kitchen is right near your living or sleeping areas it might be a problem for you but it's fine for me. I love it so much that I'm really kicking myself for not buying it sooner. If you are teetering on the edge of deciding to buy one and you see this review, buy it! It is worth every penny.

I'm so sad about this machine. It made the BEST ice ever and worked like a champ for 4 months. Then just last week, it bit the dust -- LOUDLY. Horrible screeching noises followed by an awful wail then after pulling the plug (because it wouldn't stop after I turned it off with the power button), it won't run for more than 5 minutes at a time. I cleaned it every week alternately with vinegar and a specific ice machine cleaner, so there's no reason for it to have done this other than mechanical failure.

So far, much better than the Ehomie branded one. Much quieter, and clearer ice plus looks bigger. A big plus is that on the other one, that died on 9 months, is that you don't have to open the Ice bucket area to add water. Just pull out, add water and push back in. And way quieter. Will update if that changes. UPDATE, totally a half but made unit. Has issues with freezing over and screeching like the dogs of hell are in it. Only use distilled water, clean it as recommended. Contacted manufacturer and said they have no replacement, offered 65% refund, that never came. Also said just the refund? Didn't say no, just never answered that question. This unit idms less than 7 months old. Being forced to power 9ff for a few days, then restarting each time it screws up. Don't waste your money.

I bought this ice maker back in May 2024. It worked great the first 2 months! I descaled it regularly. Around 2 months it stopped working. The button would just turn red and it wouldn’t make ice. Water would just run out of the ice cube release area. I contacted Amazon and they told me to contact the company who did nothing. I found out now they if I lean the ice machine forward and move all the water forward, I can get the machine to start working again. It’s a pain but for something I spent $200 on, I try to make it work. My advice, spend a little more and go with a different brand. Update 6/2025 I threw it in the garbage today :)

My ice maker lasted for 1 years and 5 months. It started to become very squeaky, I cleaned it several times and it never got better. Now it's not making ice at all. It was a decent ice maker when it worked, but don't expect it to last for years. You're better off spending more money for a better ice maker. I guess I got what I paid for. In the trash it goes.

Unwrapped, left sitting upright for 24 hours as instructed. Filled with distilled water, plugged up and turned on. Out churns this ungodly screeching noise that refused to stop. It did make ice well and quickly, but not without having to scare half the house thinking a train was barreling through. If I could stand the sound, I would keep it. I just don’t feel it worth it, especially if it’s going to be running regularly throughout the day.
