I struggle with comfort in a bed often. Rarely finding suitable sleep. I just got this bed this afternoon and it expanded immediately after I put a hole in the plastic bag it’s vacuumed in. As soon as I got the plastic off fully it was at expanded to about 10.5inches. I gave it another hour and it was about 11.5 inches thick. I knew it was ready when I could bounce a quarter off the sheet upon application. The fit was perfect and hasn’t shifted off the edges either with rolling and sliding on and off the mattress. Before the hour I took a test lay against recommendation but it seemed softer than I anticipated but after that hour the firmness was perfect for me. I’m about a solid 250 lbs with arthritis and paralytic spells. It forms to the body and is like a comforting swallow. It did not have a smell at all upon expansion. No gassy or even vapor smell like it was mechanically sealed and rolled like previous mattresses. I overheat at times and slept without waking up hot as well so its cooling layer actively works. This was nice as I love the weight of the blankets but not the heat it holds with a regular mattress. I have done what I love to call a weight test where I hold solid weight in a spot to test the Re inflation rate and it was almost immediate. Not even 10 seconds and it was back to its original state after the sinking of heavily dropping my weight directly in the center. I have also kneeled into the mattress knees first and it’s done the same on the edges not showing signs of sinking.

I was on the fence between this and a couple others but this one had the most complaints of being too firm. Their cries of despair convinced me. Bed is not quite like a concrete floor but does have "just enough" give to support my body completely and evenly. I'm a back sleeper but occasionally roll to my side and that's when the firm memory foam really shines! If only that was a more reliable position for me. I could really feel it contour to my hip area. As far as the temperature goes, I turn every bed into a furnace but these last 2 nights I've been able to leave my AC at 71 (that's high for me) and sleep under a ceiling fan and a sheet and comforter. Normally the comforter would have been yeeted off the bed in my sleep. Haven't noticed as much evidence of sweating. I did also get some sort of sheet set advertised to be cooling so I don't know which is doing the job better. Maybe they both are helping equally. I did a hasty measure at the 24-26 hour mark before I made the bed and it was right about 11.5". A lot of people said to give these bed in a box mattresses 48 hours so maybe it popped up to 12 by the time of this review, apprx 60 hours or so. I don't care to measure again. I'm going to enjoy this bed as much as possible until inevitably the next parter who, with my luck, will want the softest, non supportive mattress in the universe 😢

This is the second Elite Chime mattress I've purchased. The first has been used by my 6'2", 359lbs son for the last 4 years and is like new. When it was time to replace our mattress, my husband was leary going with a memory foam mattress after a bad experience with Temperpedic mattress in the past however the price was impossible to beat. We are both pleased with the comfort and support of this mattress! My husband's snoring has significantly decreased and I wake up with no lower back pain! Shipping was much quicker then expected (less then 3 days and we live in the middle of nowhere) There was no smell when we removed the plastic, there nearly no motion transfer, and it expanded to its advertised depth almost immediately (we slept on it after about 6 hours of expansion).

I recently purchased the Signature Design by Ashley Queen Size Chime 12 Inch Medium Firm Memory Foam Mattress with Green Tea & Charcoal Gel, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. This mattress has exceeded my expectations in several key areas. First and foremost, the comfort level is outstanding. The medium firm support strikes a perfect balance, offering just the right amount of firmness without sacrificing comfort. The memory foam conforms to my body, providing excellent support and relieving pressure points. This has significantly improved the quality of my sleep, and I wake up feeling refreshed and pain-free. Initially, I was concerned about purchasing a boxed mattress online without trying it in person at a store. However, this mattress is comparable to a plush firm mattress available at local mattress stores, and my concerns were quickly put to rest once I experienced the comfort firsthand. One of the standout features of this mattress is the infusion of green tea and charcoal gel. These elements not only help with odor control but also maintain a fresh and cool sleeping environment. I've noticed a marked difference in temperature regulation compared to my previous mattress, and it stays comfortably cool throughout the night. The quality of construction is also impressive. During the expansion process, I observed that the mattress sections on the outside of the roll expanded within an hour, while the section in the middle of the roll took about two days to fully expand. Due to this, I placed the middle rolled section by the footboard to allow additional expansion over time while still being able to use the mattress after 48 hours. As someone who weighs over 300 pounds, I find this mattress to be very comfortable and supportive. It provides excellent stability and does not sag, ensuring a restful night's sleep. What's more, it's extremely comfortable during side sleeping, providing the perfect level of cushioning and support. Overall, the Signature Design by Ashley Chime 12 Inch Memory Foam Mattress is a fantastic investment for anyone looking for a comfortable, supportive, and high-quality mattress. The added benefits of green tea and charcoal gel make it stand out in the crowded market of memory foam mattresses. I highly recommend it to anyone in search of a better night's sleep.
