The wiring and connectors on these are good, but the material to screw it to the mounting surface could stand to extend a lot further from the plug itself. If you're mounting onto a metal surface, it might be okay. But on wood or plastic, I'm concerned about how thin the separation is between the screw holes and the main hole for mounting the plug. ... show more

These are simple but solid pass through connectors with included screws to secure them to whatever surface you are trying to get electricity through. The ends are all typical quality where the wire meets the molding. Enough to keep water out in rain but not for prolonged submersion. I am using one on a ham radio field box as they are cheaper than the Anderson 45 amp quick connectors. Even here on my battery field box, use caulk if you want water to stay out. ... show more

    • Good deal on a pair of higher power connectors
Seriously, about $10 for a pair of higher power connectors is a good deal. I have a small 12 Volt, 50 Ah Li-ion battery that was put in a small box to make a large USB Power bank. I needed a set of connectors to connect the battery backup system to my solar panel and this works perfectly. I cut off the plug end and connected that to my battery while the socket (receptacle) is on the outside of the box. This makes it easy to seal up the box and just have connectors on the outside. I used the second connector set to hook up to my solar panels. It all works very well for my large power bank. If you're into custom RC vehicles, then this connector pair may work well for you too.
