This pub height stool is of the highest quality, and looks great, and the seat and foot rest is very comfortable. Assembly was very easy and pleasurable. To note; the fit is so tight that, as you're tightening the bolt while installing the leg to the frame, you may hear a sudden snap sound. The first time I heard it thought I broke something, but quickly learned that as the bolt tightens, the leg seats into the frame with a very tight tolerance - which is GOOD - and as the parts slide against each other during bolt tightening, you may hear the snap. Don't let that stop you from tightening them completely as per instructions. During assembly, I was greatly impressed by the fabulous engineering of this stool. It's design is well thought out regarding strength and reliability, and once assembled is built to last. It was a pleasure to assemble such quality. I was happy to find this stool, but now that I have it - four of them - I am VERY happy. Another thing I'd like to mention is in regard to the assembly hardware that comes with it. The bolts are of a high quality metal, and unlike some other hardware I've received with other - to be assembled - items, these hex-head bolts don't "strip out" when applying the final tightening torque with the provided Allen wrench, or with the homeowner-provided Phillips head screw driver bolts. The quality of the hardware was the icing on the cake regarding my impression of the overall quality of the stool. A word of advice; be deliberate while using the Allen wrench because the hex-head bolts are harder than the wrench and if you're sloppy, you can start to round off the hex edges of the wrench. This probably won't happen if you pay attention, but if it did, you can always go and buy another one for almost nothing. This is not a criticism of the wrench, they will all round off if not used squarely and deliberately under heavy stress. If this stool looks like what you've been looking for, but are concerned about the quality, my experience suggests that you shouldn't be be. My recommendation is to go ahead and buy it!

I love these Signature Design by Ashley Valebeck 30" Modern Swivel Pub Height Barstool, Whitewash, barstools. They are east to put together (two sets of hands needed for some steps). Once assembled, they are the perfect height for our new bar. They are very sturdy! The white color with brown-black metal is perfect to transition from white bar to brown furniture in dining area. DURABILITY: There was a paper packed with the stool that said, in effect, that the cushion will take the shape of the backside of the person who sits on it -- and this is not considered a manufacturing defect. We don't sit on these very much, so I am hoping they hold up in their nice, plumped-up shape.

I was in need of just 1 tall chair for my kitchen counter eating area, and so I went out to some so called "furniture stores" in my area here of Connecticut. At the stores I went to, they all had very similar chairs as this Ashley Caitbrook chair, except they were anywhere from $500 - $700 [plus tax]. I really totally was shocked to see how expensive they were, for only 1 chair [not 2 or 3 for that price]. After seeing the same very high prices all around, I came here to Amazon and found this chair which looked nice and the price was even nicer. So I took the chance and bought it and I'm very pleased to find out that this chair is of very good quality, very solid and doesn't look cheap. My counter is a height of 36 1/2", and the leg clearance underneath is 34 1/2", and so I did have to cut off 2 inches off of each leg on my miter saw, for the proper height for leg clearance and where my dining plate would be. Nevertheless, I'm very thrilled with my purchase and this chair really compliments my granite countertops with more or less the same matching gray color. The price point makes me feel like I saved a lot of money, which is always a wonderful feeling when I purchase something of quality. For which I say A+A+A+!

These are quite heavy at almost 30 lbs per stool. As such, they also seem quite sturdily built. I have no doubts they will last for a long time, structurally at least. Assembly was quite simple once I got the hang of it, taking less than 10 minutes to do each stool after going through a bit of a learning curve on the first one. There is a note on the instructions that says not to tighten any bolts until all bolts have been started. I thought this meant you could tighten the bolts that fasten the legs to the base once all 4 legs were loosely attached. If you do that, though, the legs get pulled into a smaller overall circumference such that the diameter of the foot ring is then too big to connect to its bolts. Once I loosened the 8 leg bolts, I was then able to spread the legs out enough to get the foot ring attached. Once that's done, THEN you can go back and start systematically tightening the bolts for the legs AND the foot ring. So, do as the instructions say and don't tighten ANY bolts for the legs OR the foot ring until everything is loosely connected. Also pay attention to which bolts use the large washer and which ones use the small washer. The four bolts with the small washer are for the foot ring. You can't really use the wrong bolts for the foot ring because the large washer on the leg bolt won't fit into the recessed foot ring bolt hole anyway, however you CAN use the wrong bolt for the legs. All of the bolts are the same length, diameter and thread, and all use the same lock washer, so the only difference is the flat washer size. I had no missing parts and didn't really even need the instructions anyway. The only negative about these stools is the fake "distressing" or "antiquing" effect is more prominent in reality than it appears online. There is quite a bit more "whitewash" effect applied to the wooden parts than what you see in the photos. The stools, as a result, don't match the bar for which we got them as much as we had hoped and I wouldn't have bought them in the first place had I known that ahead of time, but we're willing to put up with it for the hefty construction and low price (the price is for only one stool, incidentally, at least for the "Pinnadel Swivel Bar Stool - Pub Height" model I got). Given the original matching stools for my bar are discontinued by the manufacturer and cost $280 each, this is a great alternative. Overall, I'm glad we found these because they look way better and are far more comfortable and functional than the cheap no-back, non-swivelling stools we had. I just ordered a fourth to finish out the set. UPDATE: December, 2020, I took off a star because the seat backs are starting to crack apart. These stools sit in a home bar and get very little use. You can easily see that the material is some sort of laminated/layered wood-like substance in the same manner plywood is layered, but whatever it is can't stand up to non-use. I haven't yet examined the rest of the stools to see if any other parts are splitting or falling apart, but it's a good bet I'll eventually have to find a way to replace the seat backs with something more durable.

Everything went very smoothly. I am a return customer and as usual, Ashley furniture has very clearly marked the hardware location in the box by making it orange and connecting it via an orange string to an orange sticker on the outside of the box. The instructions were easy to follow. It feels like it will last years. I chose a boring and easily stained white wash because my kitchen is black, white, and boring itself. The color of the seat is light gray. The color of the wood is whitewash, so mostly white. The seat is gray but comparably a little yellow or green especially in certain lighting. If youโre very picky, the color difference might bug you, but it wasnโt enough to subtract a star.

It took two 80ish year olds 1 hr to assemble. If we had better dexterity, it would have gone faster. The chair is very attractive, comfortable and sturdy! Perfect height for bar height counter. I'm only 5'1" and the foot rest ring makes it easy to get on and off.

It's a good used product itself, but horrible packaging, it was dirty, and items damaged on multiple side. All the foams are broken. Just buy a new one, Don't buy used.
