Bought four of these to replace the 50-year old chairs from my mother's dining room table set that I inherited 20+ years ago. Opted not to replace the table just yet. Assembly was simple-- about ten minutes per chair once I got my system down. Just be sure not to fully tighten the bolts until you have the chair fully assembled and on a level surface. Cordless screwdriver makes the job easy. Seat cushioning is firm, but not overly so. Nice and sturdy once assembled and really improved the appearance of our dining room for the holidays. Update: Found a table on Facebook for $200 that we thought might look good with our new chairs. Turned out to be made by Ashley as well, so now we have the full set! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. These chairs came in a pair. Hubby put them together in about 15 minutes. Make sure you put the chair upright on floor for last tightening of the screws and bolts. Second chair was a little bit off and wobbly until he did this. Love the seat material. I ordered more when I saw that they would go perfectly with my table. We ordered chairs total together. It's been over a month and still looking great ... show more

    • Easy assembly. Good Price.
I purchased these chair and received them yesterday. I was a bit hesitant to order chairs online, but the brand name gave me more confidence in doing so. Assembly was pretty easy. The instructions were clear and the steps themselves were not complicated. Essentially you have ten bolts to hold the seat to the legs. They were nice enough to put the compression washer and regular washer on the bolts for you, reducing the amount of time getting everything set up. The only pain (literally) was with the allen wrench they provide. I assembled eight chairs altogether, ten bolts each, so by the end, my fingers were very sore. Be smarter than me and use a pair of gloves! The first pair of chairs took me over an hour, mostly due to a couple holes not lining up correctly on one of the chairs and then a bit of a learning curve. After that each pair of chairs took around 35 minutes. So for eight chairs, just a little under three hours of assembly time, most of the time is tightening bolts. I'd tighten them up, then go back over and retighten a second time. None of the other chairs had the hole alignment issue fortunately. I did not experience the wobble problem that others experienced. i actually put a couple of the chairs on a hard wood floor to see if I had this problem at all, and didn't detect a wobble when I sat down. I weight around 165, but I think it would hold up pretty well for someone with more weight. The padding is nice. Not overly padded, but nicer than sitting on a hard wood seat. The only minor complaint is that the padding appears to me to be dusty, but was just the sheen of the fabric itself. Our family enjoyed a nice dinner around the dining room table with its new chairs. If the chairs stand the test of time. then this was a really good purchase! ... show more
