  • I think it’s a good buy.
Style: Power Strip
Install was easy and straightforward. Seems to be good quality. Leads are a little bit short but not horrible. I think it’s fine considering the application. I’m hoping it does what it claims. But they are a well known company so I’m assuming it will do just that. I feel better knowing it’s there.

  • Solid package for 140kA surge protection
Style: Power Strip
Pros: 1. smaller than the older model FS-140. It has a male connector build in so it is much easier to install than the FS-140. Wish both come with the thread tightener. 2. Overall size is smaller than Fs-140, easier to put in tight space. 3. The led light is brighter than square D . Cons: only complaint is the wire is only 18” long, if you have a elbow connector like me, it is barely long enough to reach the top slot 20A two pole breaker. The wire should come at least 20”. The Old FS-140 comes with 36” long wire. ... show more

  • A little extra insurance for power surges
Style: Power Strip
For the money, I don't think there is a better one out there. (Well, the old FS140 has better specs) This is the newest version of it. This was quite easy to install. The instructions aren't the best, but YouTube got me thru it. Albeit it was the older FS140. The green/yellow wire through me for a loop, but I'm pretty sure it is the ground wire. Green/yellow to ground, White to neutral, and both black wires to the breakers. I'm using a 20Amp double pole. All the lights are green and it seem to be running fine. I like having a whole house surge protector that is way cheaper than the electric company's monthly add-on. ... show more

  • Easy to install though wires on updated unit are bit shortee
Style: Power Strip
Easy to install directly to panel. Not much flexibility as supplied wires are not very long if you want to avoid splicing. (I think older version has longer wires)

  • Easy to Install 140 kA Whole House Surge Protection
Style: Power Strip
Easy to install. You need a 2-pole 20-30 A breaker. Compared to the older Siemens FS140, the wires are shorter at around 15", but you are meant to make them as short as possible for best protection. Also, the end is 3/4" male NPT instead of female on the FS140. Since I mounted mine outdoors, I got a 3/4" Liquid-Tight connector and used the O-ring and lock nut from it. ... show more

  • A nice unit and peace of mind.
Style: Power Strip
I installed this (my You Tube is: bobeaseshop) and make a video about it. A dangerous job but if you do it or have it done it gives peace of mind. I checked all over the place and this unit has great reviews. So far I have installed three surge protectors and I've not had any problems.

ease explanations on YouTube of installation.interior protection on inside panel or exterior on main panel or both at the same time add more protection. you also need two 20 amp breaker for connection on main box panel.

  • Electrician was impressed
Style: Power Strip
The electrician said it was plenty of protection for our home. He installed it, so I can’t speak to how easy it was. For him it was no problem. We haven’t had an surges so I don’t know how it will work, but I’m confident based on his statements.
