I'd done tons of research pouring through many ergenomic chair recommendations, after coming to the conclusion that "gaming chairs" are not worth the time of day. I was willing to pay good money for solid construction, proper ergonomics, and of course great aesthetics. It seemed that my best options were either more budget friendly alternatives, or absurd mark ups for herman miller products. Listen, I don't care how great you think it is, I'm not paying over 1,200 dollars for a chair. And then I stumbled across this low key (at least in the US) brand called Sidiz. From the pictures I could check off some boxes. Is it a looker? Check. Ergonomics and a plethora of adjustment capabilities? Check. Doesn't ask for half of my wages? Check. After reading the reviews, I decided to take the leap and purchase it. And I was not dissapointed. The assembly is incredibly straight forward. It took 10 minutes. The packaging was secure and the product came without a scratch. When I first took a seat, I was pretty underwhelmed to be honest... until I investigated the user guide and found out how many adjustments their actually are. Tilting tension, seat position, lumbar position, and of course height, it has it all. Everything felt premium while playing around with the adjustments. The seat material itself is perfect for me. It has sufficient cushion without being a marshmallow. On top of that the back mesh design allows great airflow, and I'm happy to report I haven't had to worry about a sweaty back. My personal advice to anyone who buys this chair is to look at ALL of the settings. Spend as long as you need to move all the components to the right place to feel perfectly comfortable. When you get everything where it needs to be... it's pure bliss. All in all, I love this chair. I plan on coming back to this review and updating my experience after 6 months, then a year, in case anyone is interested. I can recommend this chair to anyone that wants a herman miller alternative, or just an endgame chair. It's a gorgeous design. 7/3/2020 Update: Now that I've had time to get completely accustomed to this chair, I can't imagine owning anything else. I've gotten compliments on its aesthetics, and it's made my life in quarantine so much better. In short: get the chair! 3/11/2021 Update: This chair has enormously increased my quality of life. I just received my Dark Gray Sidez Chair with Head Rest a couple of hours ago. I promptly unboxed it and assembled it. I am working from home now and needed a comfortable chair to sit in for hours at a time. I throughly researched ergonomic chairs. I prioritized comfort, durability and style. I read tons of reviews. I compared low, medium and mid-high priced chairs. I decided I did not want to spend the $1,600+ for all the features I wanted on a Herman Miller office chair. But I didn’t want a cheap throwaway chair. I needed a comfortable seat cushion that had an adjustable depth. I am a female senior citizen around 5’ 5” tall. I have an ample rear end. Therefore I needed a chair cushion wide enough and deep enough that would not cut off the blood circulation at my thighs. I needed a chair where I could comfortably sit up at a desk to use my computer for hours at a time, lean back to relax, plus have support for my lower back and behind my head. Additionally I wanted adjustable arm rests so I could set them exactly where I need them. After reading the T80 chair reviews, it was out of stock at the time but I decided to order this chair and wait almost a month to receive it. I have beautiful wood floors that I did not want to damage but I did not want to use ugly floor mats. Again, I did tons of research and decided to order STEALTHO replacement rollerblade style wheels on Amazon. [NOTE: These STEALTHO wheels have a Black “outer shell” so they look Great with a Black chair base (as in the “Dark Gray” chair version). However, I do NOT think this particular STEALTHO replacement rollerblade wheel would look good when the chair base is White (as in the “Light Gray” chair version)] Here is the replacement wheel description on Amazon: ”STEALTO Replacement Office Chair Caster Wheels Set of 5 - Protect Your Floor - Quick & Quiet Rolling Over The Cables - No More Chair Mat Needed - with Brakes - Blue Polyurethane - Standard Stem 7/16.” (FYI: The photos I included with this review show the Dark Gray Sidez T80 Chair with the Stealtho Replacement Wheels w/brakes already installed) I debated about using these wheels with the dark gray T80 chair (as the wheel itself is blue w/black outer frame) and whether it was worth the extra money for the brakes (on two wheels). At $45.99 for a set of 5 I decided to go for it. I liked the idea that the blue wheel won’t turn yellow over time like clear wheels. After installation, the blue wheels look fabulous on the dark gray T80 chair. I’m glad I opted for the ones with brakes because the wheels glide so smoothly, the brakes provide more stability so the chair doesn’t move out from under me when I go to sit down. The instructions for the chair were written in Korean but it was easy to figure out how to assemble the chair without them. However, I am glad another reviewer mentioned the need to remove 2 “installed screws” from the chair 1st before installing the headrest with the new longer screws that are provided in a plastic bag with a Sidiz plate cover. Don’t despair when you 1st sit down, I warn you, it sits straight up without adjustments. Look at the enclosed booklet and adjust the seat height, seat depth, degree of tilt, the tilting tension, the lumbar position, the arm rests and the head rest position. Now it feels heavenly. The seat cushion is very comfortable. It is supportive but not too hard or too soft. Apparently, the fabric cover on the cushion is removable so you can wash it. That is a plus for me. I found the mesh back is very comfortable. The chair has more plastic parts compared to a HM but I knew that before I ordered it. But at $699 it is an affordable alternative to a HM. Actually I was pleasantly surprised when I received the T80 that it seems hefty and very well made. To top it off, it is gorgeous! About me: I purchase A LOT on Amazon. I heavily depend on reading reviews to help me decide on my purchases. I always pay full price and have never been given an item in exchange for a review. So my reviews are honest. This chair was a high dollar item and I am very grateful to all of the people who previously took the time to review this chair. (I try to leave reviews for items I purchase on Amazon but I usually don’t take the time to leave a thorough review). Since this is a more expensive item, I decided to leave an extensive review on this item. I highly recommend this chair. In fact, I decided to take the plunge and I just placed another order for a second T80 in dark gray while it is still in stock for my co-worker. I will try to come back in the future and update my review of this chair after I use it for several months. Update: I also ordered on Amazon: “ErgoFoam Adjustable Foot Rest Under Desk for Added Height | Large Premium Velvet Soft Foam Footrest for Desk | Most Comfortable Desk Foot Rest in The World for Back, Lumbar, Knee Pain (Black)” to use with my T80 chair. (There are a variety of under desk foot rests available on Amazon and office supply stores so look around if you are interested). I just wanted to say this foot rest delivered today. The addition of the use of a foot rest, (with this already awesome T80 chair), makes my feet, legs and lower back say “Ahhhhhhh”. ... show more

    • Wanted to love it...but no.

This is a great looking chair and it checks all the boxes for ergonomic adjustability. Many people apparently find it comfortable (check the many 5 star ratings) but my body just does not. I am 6'1" and 210 lbs. Everything fits well including the neck role/headrest, but several areas are painful: 1. The lumbar support is height adjustable but not depth. It is a very thin piece of plastic so I can feel the lumpy lumbar hardware against my back. Also, it pushes the mesh into your back and feels like a cheese grater. I can tolerate it if I push it all the way down, but kind of defeats the purpose. Not a fan. 2. Arm rests are small and very hard foam. That may make them last longer but they are uncomfortable and dig into my forearms. I put on some $15 Milliard memory foam arm pads that works well so this one I could live with if it was the only complaint, but it is not. 3. The foam seat is the deal-breaker. It is very thin and does not provide adequate support for my 210 lbs. My backside aches after an hour or two. Okay, I know it isn't a $1200 chair, but $700 isn't chump change. I expect some quality foam and this isn't it. Like I said, the chair fits me well and I want to love it, and you may love it are less than 170 lbs or so. Unfortunately, after sitting in the chair 8 hrs a day for a week, I can't live with the uncomfortable seat and lumbar support so it is going back. ... show more

If you look for a chair with comparable quality and features you won’t find anything for under $1000. Steelcase, Herman Miller, Humanscale and others have similar ergonomic features in many of their lines, but the moment you add a headrest to a Steelcase Gesture you are paying around $1,200. I find it comfortable, love the features and feel like I didn’t compromise on anything with this purchase. ... show more
