I find myself trying to save money by just purchasing a shear pin for my snowblower. It's best to use the style that is recommended for your make and model of snowblower and not just any pin on the market. You don;t want your auger or shaft damaged by a pin that doesn't shear properly when under load. I recommend you do research on your snowblower for the correct shear pin. I hit a branch in the snow last week that was buried in old snow and it sheared both pins on one side, which could have been serious without the correct pins.
