These need to be assembled. One person can accomplish that but it may be helpful to have a 2nd set of hands. I like that this is a set. They rock smoothly. There is an adjustable screw on the back runners so you don't tip too far back. The cushions are not substantial but adequate. I wished the cushions had ties on them so the wind doesn't blow them away. So I improvised and ordered adjustable elastic clips like what is commonly used on the fitted bed sheet. I was able to put these together myself in about 90 minutes. They look great and offer a comfortable seating area on our porch.
