We recently went on a family camping trip and this was exactly what we needed after a very long road trip. It was very easy to set up and kept my 6 year old’s mac and cheese warm and our soup. It’s perfect for outdoor stays, and could also be used at home for a little outdoor camping adventure. The quality and color are nice, and it is not so huge that you feel like your carrying around a heavy appliance. Love it!

The SHINESTAR Camping Stove advertising on the Amazon site notes at least twice that the stove can be used "indoors" as well as outside. That was the primary reason for making the purchase. However, the booklet for this camping stove repeatedly provides the disclaimer that the stove is not to be used "indoors." Thus, the Shinestar company is either deliberately lying in their advertising, or they do not pay any attention to what the manufacturer so clearly specifies. Further, my perception is that Amazon has a responsibility to monitor the accuracy of the advertising regarding the products sold on the Amazon site. Here's a chance to clean up your act!

This camp stove is compact and extremely useful with its two burners. The included bag holds it with the gas line easily. The instructions are extremely vague, which I was a bit surprised for this type of product. I used the small green propane bottles on it, and it fit perfectly. The knobs are a bit sketchy, which made me nervous while attempting to turn it off. When you turn to the off position, it seemed to continue going until it got tight. I didn't trust that it was truly off, so I unhooked the gas from it when I was finished. There is not a valve to turn the gas on/off, so it must be removed completely. While I understand the need for the burner grates to be moved, so the stove can close properly, there's no way to lock them into place when cooking. They slide around when cooking something that needs to be stirred, which was a frustrating. Overall, this is a decent product. The instructions, burners, and gas line connection have some improvements that could be made to ensure a safe use of this gas stove. Since these are major safety issues, I'm giving it a 3/5 stars
