I have a conversion van which is driven sparingly so it sits for long lengths of time. I went to start it yesterday and nothing, not even a click. I got out my Shinegiant, hooked it up, got in and turned the key....started right up without hesitation. I was blown away by this and ditched the jumper cables. To sum it up, this is a fantastic product and worth the investment.

The frame rate of my camera is apparently not capable of showing the pack’s display screen. Right out of the box, the display read 100%. I used it immediately to jump a dead car battery, and as soon as I connected the alligator clips to the dead battery, the jump pack display read 68%. This was before cranking the car. The car started immediately, and when disconnecting the cables, the display read 87%. I plugged it in with the included charging cord, and the display never increased above 87%, after charging for about 2 hours. I unplugged the pack, powered it off, and started charging it again. It was at 100% on the display in about 30 min. The instructions are about the worst English translation I’ve ever seen in a Chinese product. They suggest cleaning the dirt from inside your car to improve the jump pack’s performance. So dumb. At any rate, I’ve used it two more times since, and it worked fine. The display stayed at 100%. I’m pretty sure the display is as unreliable as the included instructions. But, it works.

I believe everybody should have one of these in a glove box. It takes a little bit to charge it, but once it’s charged I have started several vehicles with this and it’s still almost full. It’s easy to use. It’s a simple plug and start. However, if you start a vehicle and it quits, you do have to take off the connectors and put them back on before it will jump again. The size is great. It will fit into a glove compartment. I have used it time and time again and it’s never failed. It’s way better than taken a battery out of another car, or having to get jumper cables.

This portable car jump starter is quite nifty! I don't typically know too much what's under the hood of the vehicles but I find this is quite simple to use as the instructions are clear. I knew exactly where each part went without too much trouble. I love that it's so lightweight and portable. It doesn't take up much space in the car. I especially like that it it can be charged fairly quickly and the charge holds out for a while. The light on the charger is also a nice bonus and makes the process easier in the event of needing a boost at night.

First off, this is not your industrial type booster pack. I was surprised how small and wimpy it looks. That said, I charged it to 100%. A week later my lawn mower battery was dead. I hooked this up and it started immediately. It has a USB connection so it can be used as a battery source for charging your phone as well. Since it is so small and compact, it can be easily stowed in your vehicle as an emergency battery pack for both your phone or your car. Solid 4 stars since it works.
