For beard conditioning, it works well, my beard feels softer with this. I do not find it greasy or oily. I have thick beard hair and this does not do much to tame or control my beard. The fragrance is an issue for me. The product did not appear to be scented but after looking at the ingredients, it has "fragrance" listed before shea butter, and it's named Shea Moisture! It has shea on the front of the tiny bottle twice but nothing about fragrance which it apparently has more of. I don't care for the scent; it reminds me of being in a department store. I have a very minor sensitivity to chemical fragrances, and this product pushes it over the limit for me. I guess it's my fault for not reading all the contents thoroughly, but it really doesn't come across as fragrant heavy in the out-front product info. I'm still giving it 3 stars because it does seem to make a course beard a little softer. It may be a good product for some. Unfortunately, my bottle is going to get thrown out. ... show more
