Features

  • EXTREMELY SIMPLE TO OPERATE - The cool clock has been designed with absolute simplicity in mind! Easy for boys, girls, toddler, kids, teens, seniors and the elderly.
  • LOUD ALARM AND SNOOZE - The bedside alarm clock comes with one of the loudest alarms available which can be set at Low or High in volume. There is also a 9 minute snooze that can be continually pressed until the alarm itself is switched off
  • JUMBO ILLUMINATED LED DIGITS WITH HIGH/LOW BRIGHTNESS - The red numbers on the clock are very clear with extra bright quality, easy to see! If desired, there is a high/low option to set the brightness to your own personal comfort level.
  • AC 120V ELECTRIC POWERED, WITH BATTERY BACK UP - To power the clock, just plug the power cord into a standard US 120V outlet (do not use with 240V) and you are good to go. • Easy to set up and loud enough to wake you up!
After my last experience with a new digital alarm clock this Sharp alarm clock is a dream come true. I love ,love, love my new Sharp alarm clock! I opened the box, set time and plugged it in. It has worked for two days keeping the time precisely on target. The alarm has come on exactly as set and is loud enough to wake me up. I can even use the clock as a great night light. The numerals are large enough to see from across the bedroom which I like because in the morning when the alarm sounds I have to get up to turn off the alarm. This clock couldn’t be any more perfect for me. I highly recommend this alarm clock to those who want a dynamite old fashioned clock that is easy to operate and that keeps precise time. ... show more

  • Sharp clock
I am very pleased with this clock. I have been using my old clock for many years and it had been losing time. Time for a new one. Decided not to pick a very expensive clock. I chose this sharp clock for my tv room. It is bright and clear. The numbers are large and it is an overall great clock. Hopefully it will work for as long as my old expensive clock . I am very happy with the appearance of this clock and it is so pleasing not to have to strain my eyes to see the time. I wouldn't hesitate to chose it ... show more

  • Lasts for years.
I bought this exact item 9 years ago and it has never failed me. The battery back-up works great when storms pop up in the middle of the night therefore, never making you late or needing to reset the clock. The numbers are clear and easy to read and bright without being obtrusive. The swivel base is a great plus as well. For these reasons I bought another one when I was in need of a reliable alarm clock. In my opinion Sharp makes great products. Don't forget you will need a 9 volt battery for back-up. ... show more

  • Nice For The Price
This Sharp digital alarm clock is pretty good so far for the price. I've only had it for a week. I like the big numbers and that they remain lit at night and during the day. This clock is extremely easy to use. The sound of the alarm can be set to low or high, but I don't think there is a very big difference between the two. I would like the alarm sound to be louder as I am a deep sleeper. You can also set the hi/low setting for the time display which to me isn't much of a difference either. If this clock works well for a few months I might buy another one for my garage. The only odd thing about this clock is that it has a high pitch sound that I can hear when I'm real close to it. ... show more

  • It takes a 9V battery which is not included
I am a Senior and disabled. I like the clock very much since the position where it sits on my nightstand is not too accessible. Therefore since the clock rotates I can turn it to face me where I'm able to read it without straining my head to look at it. I'm sure that the alarm is there if I need it, however I use my dummy flip top phone with the alarm in it when I need to get up early. I'm very impressed especially since it is a SHARP clock. ... show more

  • Good Clock
Big and bright might make you uncomfortable in sleeping. It is perfect for my eyesight without eye glasses lying on the bed. It is the exact same clock(no name and still running strong) I bought years ago without Sharp name on it. Can not comment on the alarm functions, since I am light sleeper and am sensitive to the day light and noise. Can not comment on the backup function too, since we have single digit times of power outages in the last 20+ years here in the S. Cal. The whole reason to use this clock is to forget about changing batteries. I am glad I bought this Sharp version for my kid who also wears eye glassess by ignoring those bad reviews. YMMV. For $12.99, I am willing to chance it and throw it away. ... show more

  • Great clock
Numbers are nice and big so they are easy to read. They are bright but not so bright they light up the room and make it hard to sleep! It’s easy to use (even I could figure it out, and i never figured out our last one and we had it for 15 year lol) I would definitely buy another one if someone else in my family needs one since I’m pretty sure this ones going to last awhile, it’s nicely made!! ... show more

  • Runs 3 minutes fast per month
I bought two of these. Both run several minutes a month fast. Infuriatingly, to adjust the time, you can only increase the minutes, so you get to wait for it to roll around as it counts up the 57 minutes before you can get back to the right time. Also, the switches, the plastic, the LEDs; the quality of this thing is just plain junk. This is totally pathetic. Any product that plugs in the wall can synchronize to the power line frequency. Your power company actually counts how many of the 60 cycles it produces every day and adjusts the speed of the generators so that you get the exact number of cycles. A wall-plugged clock can be perfectly accurate. But maybe because the Sharp finance people don't want to make separate clocks for 50 cycle or 60 cycle countries, or maybe their engineers are too incompetent to sense whether it is 50 or 60 cycle and adjust the phase-locking division appropriately, or maybe they just forgot how to make a clock over in Osaka. I must be taking crazy pills. See, I remember when Sharp was a distinguished and respected company. I myself have written raves in EDN magazine about the Sharp R-6300 microwave. I have been to Osaka and visited the Sharp building with that giant arc of solar cells in the front. I have worked with their engineers who were typical of the competent and diligent Japanese technical community. So I felt that when I bought this product, it would be a product worthy of the Sharp brand. I could sell these at a garage sale but my duty to my fellow human beings means I will take them to the shop and smash them to splinters with a sledge hammer. As for me, I spent $145 for a Alpha 5 clock kit from my friends at Evil Mad Science. It has an ovenized real-time-clock. Now I know what time it is. And Lenore just showed me how to hack a GPS module onto the Alpha 5 so it stays within milliseconds of the correct time for as long as I live. Too bad, Sharp and Amazon could have had that extra 130 dollars, if they only understood some of us want real specs and real products instead of cargo-cult crap. ... show more
