We had a Dyson cordless stick vacuum, which was supposed to be for animals, but it honestly sucked and it was so expensive. My husband did not want to risk another cordless, so I scoured reviews and went with this one. Wow this is a game changer! It’s so nice to have a reliable vacuum and it honestly sucks up so much hair. It’s disgusting to think how much was lingering around our house before this vacuum. The cord can be a little annoying but it’s nice to not have to stop mid-vacuum to charge it, so totally worth it. The cord is also pretty long and the whole upper part can detach to get up stairs, etc. The detachable wand is also easy to use. I am amazed how much the dust compartment holds, I could probably vacuum my house twice before needing to empty it. Our house has both hard floors and carpet and this has been great on both, I like that it has different settings for each floor type. No fur or anything has gotten caught in the rotors or anything. This is my second Shark and it is perfect. My first one is still in excellent condition, but due to multiple shedding dogs, we needed a second one so we could double team the vacuuming. This Shark has great suction, is lightweight and easy to navigate. I love the swivel head. It works beautifully on any floor surface and it is super easy to empty the canister. I love this vacuum. I did my research. Its the best for pets. I have two shelties they shed all the time. I have a Shark Rocket but its not pet friendly. This vacuum the round roller doesn't get all junked up. i ran it and filled the tank. the tank is huge. i have a bad back bending is hard nothing about this vacuum requires me to bend, everything is in nonbending reach. its sturdy, to do that they did make it heavy but its easy to push. it lifts away. the suction hose is perfect length. the electrical cord is long enough i can do two room without unplugging. hardwood floors adjust suction. i love the washable filters (money savers) and the air freshener, i hate a stinky smelling vacuum. i love that i can attach the attachments to the vacuum i tend to lose them. for pet and non pet homes, this vacuum is perfect. I really was skeptical about buying this product. I usually prefer a canister and have had Kenmores for years and years but with two dogs, one a Great Pyrenees - the kind that shed 11.5 months of the year but, my Kenmore was on it's last legs... or wheels. I have always heard good things about Shark brand vacs so I gave this a try. I am thrilled I did! While I do find it a tad heavy, it's the price one pays for an upright I suppose, but the suction power is wonderful. It is great at picking up the dog hair and even more exciting, I don't have to spend time picking hair out of the roller bar - yes it truly self-cleans. YaHoo! The dust/dirt bin is VERY large and does not require emptying between rooms (1650 sq ft house) and still has plenty of room in it. You don't have to handle the dirt ever, just a push of a button and poof, it's in the trash. Changing from floor power to rug power is so easy, and it can be done on the fly, with a simply flip of the switch. I found the attachments all fit easily and conveniently on the "stick" part of the cleaner, and are easy to remove, use, and return to place. I am beyond pleased with my purchase. My one complaint is that the cord should be much longer. It really is too short, especially if, like me, your electrical receptacles are inconveniently placed or simply not plentiful. I did buy an extension cord so that I could do the entire house without changing plugs. If you, like me, are hesitant, if you have big hairy critters roaming your halls, you need this vacuum! ... show more

I have been 💯 vacuum challenged, always having hurdles and obstacles with maintenance or maybe the vacuum was too heavy. How about those HVACs with the long clunky hose dragging everywhere or just big and difficult to empty vacs etc? There have so many things! Finding a good vacuum is a VERY big deal to me and I am so happy that I splurged, even for this inexpensive vacuum, meaning a good price in the $200 range! It’s Shark light and it actually cuts the hairs, OMG PTL 😁. That has been my number one problem with always having to do maintenance because there’s so much hair! I am so thrilled with this wonderful new invention! It’s also not too loud; the dust cup is larger so at a glance it doesn’t look like a small vac, but it is light and it’s so much worth it to have that large dustcup or tank, lol, on it! That is also a big feature so that you don’t have to empty it till the end! And it empties so easily! I’ve just been very challenging. I appreciate so much all these great qualities in that now I can just grab the vacuum and simply do the job, and with ease, instead of all the hurdles and obstacles that were always in the way.! I have never put a vacuum together before, and I did this so easily! I hope it’s endurance qualities are good 😊 because it’s a dream come true for me! I would give this vacuum a four and a half out of five. I think it's a great vacuum. I have a lot of pets and wood floors in it picks up nicely. Keeps my house clean. A couple of things I don't like about it is the location of the cord. I wish that was up more. Not so low on the vacuum. The other thing I don't like is the hose is not long enough and anytime I go to use it I forget it. It barely goes a few feet and then the vacuum falls over. Somehow they needed to come up with a longer hose. But the hose picks up great. So I do like that it has great section power. Also the cord could be a little longer. I had to add an extension cord to get around my house because that's my preference. But overall it's a great vacuum and I hope it lasts me another couple of years. ... show more
