Loved the vacuum when it worked - however it is showing error code E5 (motor short) after 7 months of use. This is too expensive of a vacuum to be failing after so little use. It isn’t even our primary house vac. Would love to return it instead of dealing with customer service for a repair solution. Avoid this refurbished vac. I'm someone who has used a traditional upright vacuum for decades so I've had to adjust to the limitations of the battery time, the fact that it is top heavy so it won't freely stand up, and frequently having to empty the dust bin. Now I've learned to fold the unit while charging the battery (or you can simply remove battery and charge on a counter). That said...the vacuum does an excellent job. Although a bit heavier than I expected, this cordless vac is a miracle, especially for pet hair. We have 2 long-haired white cats and I can vacuum their white pet hair from our area rugs very quickly. It is superb on the edges of carpets as well and along baseboards. This vacuum came clogged with dog hair and dander, it smelled like wet dog when I turned it on. “Good as new electronics” would not accept a return, and wanted me to pay shipping to exchange for a different one. The good, 1) new roller is good at keeping hair from getting tangled 2) it is easier to clean the dust bin than earlier models since it comes off from the motor. The bad, 1) it seems to clog a lot at the bottom of the stick right behind the brush 2) the area around the rollers is hard to clean and after a week the transparent plastic is all gross looking with no way to clean it out 3) motor doesn't seem as powerful as my older model shark cordless stick but maybe this is suppose to make it beat your carpet up less ... show more

Be careful if you buy refurbished from “GoodAsNew” Item arrived and looked brand new! Thought all was great but then it didn’t pick up the dirt but just shot it backwards. They were willing to replace but we wanted to try a different brand. Accepted return, but I had to pay shipping. Then they charged $140 restocking fee!! On a defective item!
