I rarely write reviews on Amazon but if I could give 10 stars for this product I would. We have carpets everywhere so that our dog can run zoomies safely. She is the zoomies queen. 3 different kind of carpet: Berber wall to wall carpet and rugs with irregular surface for high traffic areas and high pile rugs for living and dining rooms) AND we have a (Lab) x Husky x Gt Pyrenees mix - her fur has no Lab genes in it, as I always say she sheds only once a year but it lasts 365 days. Comes May, after 3 days our house looks like a yeti has moved in. AND I have chronic elbow issues so pulling and dragging the heavy vacuum daily is no longer an option. This Shark is super light weight, very easy to maneuver, very powerful, not noisy, it even has a light in front of it, 2 settings (for hard surfaces and carpets). We were looking for a tool to do a quick efficient effortless vacuuming so that our house looks decent every day and THIS is definitely the one. Value for money is top. (We had tried an expensive robot before and it could not handle Husky hair on carpet at all). This Shark is large enough and small enough. Also it is super easy to assemble. I have 5 cats. They love this carpet. They roll around, track litter, and play on it all day. This vacuum picks up ALL of it. I had another vacuum that I had been using for the past year, and turns out it wasn’t doing a very good job. I had used a baking soda carpet deodorant 6 months ago and I was still finding residue every time I lifted the rug. The Shark vacuum sucked up so much of the baking soda that the previous vacuum missed. I don’t think there’s any left. The Shark vacuum is surprisingly easy and light weight to maneuver given the strong suction power. I’m glad I was able to get it on sale! ... show more

Great vacuum cleaner that runs on rechargeable battery. This is my third Shark cordless vacuum. I like this style more than the vacuums that have the dirt cup up higher which is more weight to deal with. This Shark has an easy dirt cup that’s so easy to click away to empty. It has a nice beater bar & strong suction. I like that the battery base plugs in & I set the Shark on it to charge the vacuum. Not too bad a price though the price has gone up some in the past years. I was concerned when reading the reviews about the 20 minute run time. I have a 1650 square foot home, I find this time to be just enough to do m6 hardwood floors plus an area rug. Charging is pretty easy, a few hours for a full charge. It picks up pet hair really well, the container is just large enough to hold debris. I have already washed the removable filter. It’s a great product. It just is not meant for a household with a lot of dogs. I have a golden retriever and an Australian Shepherd, and they both shed considerably this vacuum gets plugged a lot. I should have chose a more pet friendly vacuum. I would suggest that if you have pets to get the pet vacuum vacuums that they offer not this, but if you don’t have pet pets and you have a low traffic household and it’s like a small apartment this is great that’s why I originally got it because our apartment is not that big and while it does work, it is annoying to have to unplug it all the time. ... show more

I hate this vacuum with a passion that cannot be captivated in a single review. Let me explain. This vacuum was purchased with one sole purpose in mind. To keep our hardwood floors free of cat litter that our three hooligans seem intent to spread to every corner of the house everytime they pee. After a long period of contemplation and comparison the Shark Freestyle seemed to meet every requirement. Good on hard surfaces. Good for pet hair and fine debris. Upright. Lightweight. Rapid charging. Long battery. And it does most of that. It is in fact upright. It has a wonderful charging time and hold. Perfect weight for folks with limited dexterity. Fabulous mobility. But after less than 3 months I've given up. The suction was never great to begin with, but took a plummet within the first two weeks. I refused to return it. We've taken it apart cleaning every piece per the manual. Have fully charged. Talked nice to it, and even called it Miss Jackson in case it wanted to get nasty. Because I desperately wanted this thing to work. Now we are outside of the return window. With a vacuum that works more as a broom, slowly trapping debris beneath its wheel that inevitably must be swept with a dustpan. It has become a source of contention in our home. Tldr: Needed for cat litter. Back to using the dustpan. Now listening to "I told you so's". Avoid. ... show more

If you have floors, this is the best vacuum you can own. It might be pricey, however, it’s just great for picking up small crumbs and debris, pet hair on the floor. We have cat litter and birds, and this vacuum can pick up all. The vacuum is not too loud and moves around on the floor effortlessly. It’s lightweight and swivels perfectly to navigate corners. This vacuum is easy to empty the holder with just one press, and the container empties instantly. I used to use a hand held vacuum to get fine particles and now, I use this cordless vacuum from Shark. We have the circular Shark cordless vacuum that can vacuum the whole home, however, it often gets clogged or needs to recharge to finish the home. This upright stick vacuum is something I should have purchased years ago. Also, it is something easy to put together. ….I did buy the protection plan because I am so tired of vacuums that just stop working and then I need to buy a new one. ... show more
