Great vacuum cleaner that runs on rechargeable battery. This is my third Shark cordless vacuum. I like this style more than the vacuums that have the dirt cup up higher which is more weight to deal with. This Shark has an easy dirt cup that’s so easy to click away to empty. It has a nice beater bar & strong suction. I like that the battery base plugs in & I set the Shark on it to charge the vacuum. Not too bad a price though the price has gone up some in the past years. Lightweight and perfect for light vacuuming around the house. I have a long haired dog and it sucks up her fur like nothing on the hardwoods! Sometimes the button to turn it on gets a little sticky, but not annoying enough to deter me from using it daily. Holds charge for about 30-40 mins. Great light weight vacuum cleaner. Much easier to use than vacuums with cords. I use it on tile and wood floors and thin rugs. Good suction along walls/baseboards even on low power setting. Really like the light for darker or shadowed areas. It lays down fairly flat to get under edges of lower furniture. Battery life is pretty good. I can complete 2/3rds of my first floor on one charge. The handy recharging stand is wonderful. It is charged and ready to go when ever I need to grab it. Fabulous cordless vac in every way. Picks up all cat litter and cat hair from hardwood & tile floor. Does a great job on my throw rugs and carpeted stairs too. Fantastic suction. On high speed charge lasts about 20 min. When I assembled the handle wouldn't stay in securely because the latch that catches in the body was defective. Talked with Amazon and was sent a brand new unit. Since handle was easily accessible in the new box I took it out and tried it in the vac I first received. Perfect secure fit so I didn't have to put together the replacement & sent it back with a note on the handle. This is an improved model from one I bought five years ago that lasted five years by replacing the battery twice. ... show more

This vacuum works really great and it’s super easy to use and to dump the canister into the trash. It’s unbelievable how much dirt and dog hair it picks up. I can do my whole house on one battery charge. Charges fast, too. Super happy with this.

I used the Shark Freestyle Max Cordless Upright Vacuum in a home with all hard floors and a couple of entry rugs, and while it has some strong points, it ultimately didn’t work for me. The biggest positive is definitely the suction power. For a cordless vacuum in this price range, it performs really well. It had no problem picking up dust, debris, and even heavier dirt from my floors and rugs. It felt powerful enough for everyday cleaning, which honestly surprised me. I was also impressed with the battery life. On high speed, I was getting around 18 minutes, and on low speed about 25 minutes. That was more than enough for quick cleanups and even getting through most of my space in one go. However, the main reason I returned it comes down to the design limitations. It doesn’t come with any attachments, which makes it hard to clean anything beyond floors—like corners, edges, or furniture. That really limits how versatile it is. Another big issue is that it can’t reach under furniture well. The design doesn’t allow it to lay flat, so getting under beds, couches, or low-clearance areas is difficult or impossible. For me, that was a dealbreaker since those are areas I need to clean regularly. Overall, I think this vacuum is best for someone who wants a simple, lightweight option for quick floor cleaning only. It has great suction and solid battery life, but the lack of attachments and limited reach make it hard to use as your main vacuum. ... show more
