  • Classy and attractive counter piece. Smooth and intense espresso.
Before I get into the SHARDOR espresso coffee machine I have two discoveries. Number one, I have a lot more respect for a barista that can turn out some of those amazing drinks in the speed they do. Number two, I am not a barista by any size shape or ability. I am still practicing, experimenting, and figuring out new things with this machine. If this Espresso machine was judged on looks alone, it would be a five star. It is very professional looking and the combination of chrome and stainless makes an attractive counter piece. This espresso machine comes with all the accessories. A couple things might save you some time looking. The 1 and 2 cup metal filter rings, if you’re looking for the 2 cup ring, it is already installed in the aluminum/wood filter handle. Another thing I noticed is part number 11, the silicone Bellows there is absolutely nothing said about in the instructions. I installed mine in between the bean hopper and the lid. Do you push down on it or does it naturally pull down by vacuum as the hopper empties? I’m not sure and there are no instructions. Make sure you go over every square inch of this machine, lifting out the water tank, the drip tray, and inside the bean hopper because there are small plugs and pieces of foam rubber everywhere to prevent contact while shipping. After set up, perform the first time use cleaning the appliance. Don’t be confused, but when they mention installing the funnel assembly, that is another name for part number 10, the aluminum portafilter. This machine is covered with yellow stickers with tips and pointers on use. I am leaving mine on until I completely get comfortable with this machine as they don’t appear to interfere with any function. Yes, thanks KKing but HOW’S THE COFFEE? Glad you asked. Intense and smooth espresso. Very tasty not bitter. Could also be I use top grade Coffee. You rotate the hopper to determine how fine a grind. 0-45 settings. I started at 15, too fine. I am now at setting 25 which for me is perfect. Push grind mode, single cup setting, push the button. In four seconds you’ll have a perfectly measured single cup of grounds. Push single cup brew, you will have one shot of very intense, smooth tasting dark espresso. Do your own experimenting, but I found if you grind a single cup of coffee and then hit the double cup for brewing you will still get a great tasting coffee, but not as intense. I also found out all my coffee mugs are too tall and the only thing I could find were my parents China tea cups, that would fit under the funnel assembly. The milk foaming attachment, takes some practice, which I am still practicing. How these barista‘s knock out a perfect foam and make a tree on my espresso now is impressive. I tried it on the top of my espresso, looked more like a cord of split firewood. One of the tricks of foaming is do not put very much milk in your frothing pitcher. It takes too long if you do. This SHARDOR espresso machine I like its look, I like its function and will be fun to experiment. There are 28 different coffees on the back of the coffee guide. I have mastered two, so there is plenty of room for practice. ... show more

  • Very tasty coffee
So many good things about this Espresso machine that I don't even know where to start. The most important thing for me is that it incorporates a coffee grinder and an espresso maker in a single compact machine. I have a separate coffee grinder, but I find myself grinding a large amount of beans at a time, so I can put the machine away and save space on the counter. I also have a small manual grinder, but it's tiresome to grind even just enough for a cup or 2. This machine saves me from both issues. I can grind just what I need to make the freshest cup possible, with zero effort and many grinding levels to suit me. Then comes the coffee making itself. The system this machine uses is great. The spout divides the pour into 2 and it lands in your cup without splashing. No more mess on the counter. You can adjust the amount of coffee it brews by adjusting the time it spent brewing. I found that the double espresso was too strong for my husband, so I put the full 60 seconds and it uses more water, therefore making the coffee less strong. Perfect. The instructions to operate are very clear and organized. I had no trouble whatsoever in following them. It has an auto-shutoff. Very important feature for me. The other coffee maker I just purchased, did not have that, and more often than not it will be on overnight!. Not this one. So I discontinued the use of the other one in favor of this machine. The only thing I dislike a little is that the coffee does not pour that hot. I increased the brewing temperature (again, easy-to-read instructions), but still not hot enough for my taste. I believe that maybe that is what gives this coffee its smooth flavor, so I don't complain. Another cool thing is the water tank. Is generously sized and keeps enough water for a few days, so I dont have to refill it too often. This is one of the best acquisitions I have gotten in a long time. I really like this machine. ... show more

  • Shardor Stainless Steel 20 Bar Espresso Machine w/built-in Grinder 60.9oz Tank 45 Settings
I'm the type of person who likes to test things out before commenting so I can give my honest take. I'm not in a rush, I want to see if it works and how well it works. So I received this Shardor Stainless Steel 20 Bar Espresso Machine with Built-in Grinder, 45 Settings, Steam wand, 60.9oz tank, PID Temperature control, 194°F - 204°F, that has cold & hot brew modes, that stands at 9.75"x11.06"x14.69", that has a grind timer, can make single cups, double cups, can add steam, grind mode and the list of things are continuous. What a very nicely, sturdy, durable, sleek build with such a complete experience. It just turned things upside down clear satisfaction I got from just the performance of a freshly homemade brew. I could have sat in one spot all day and just enjoyed looking out the window, the aroma throughout my home reminds me of being in one of our favorite coffe shops. Since receiving this one and another one I haven't been to those places in a minute, I can make as much as I want and keep my money in my pockets. Just straight satisfaction. And it's funny the last time I was at one of those places that serve coffee I seen similar machines not as sophisticated and updated as this one. Believe me it definitely gets the nod. I wasn't sure about the other one I received rather I would be able to have it on my future all beverage food truck but with this one and that one I now believe I may be able to pull it off as another beverage on my future beverage food trailer. It doesn't take up any space very small and sleek put produces a huge amount. Great job Shardor ... show more

  • Great machine- impressive uniform grinds.
We are really enjoying this espresso maker! It is definitely a step up from the average espresso maker and the pod machines. It is very easy to use. Like any coffeemaker, adjust your beans, grind and temperature to your liking. This machine can easily be set to three different temperatures. I was incredibly surprised by the quality of the grinder, thinking that a combo machine could not perform so well for this price. The grind was incredibly uniform, much better than my $100 burr grinder. With fresh beans that are freshly ground, it is easy to make good coffee. The steam wand is also easy to use and convenient without taking space as another appliance on my countertop, while the whole machine is a compact size as well! It looks quite impressive. Especially considering it is not one of the top brands. I have several coffee machines from this company and they are always packaged well and designed well, easy to use and very conscious of the customer. Even the tape securing the pieces is folded at the end to give you an easy grip for removing it. It comes with a baffle, which baffled me, as I had never had one and the instructions left out what to do with it. But after looking it up I think it is a really nice feature. The only negative I have is needing to change the size of my typical cup to fit better underneath the filter, but that is easily accomplished! I am attaching several photos- these are an organic espresso blend bean at level 16. ... show more

  • Makes a really good espresso without the grinder mess
I got my dad this espresso maker (it's been in use for a couple of weeks). He enjoys coffee and has had a coffee maker of each type. He likes playing with machines with a tinkering nature, so I expected that he would enjoy this machine. He has espresso done most days and makes coffee for my mom depending on their preferences. The quality of the brew is excellent, and he appears to enjoy it. He likes the built in coffee grinder the most. I expected this machine to be loud with a top integrated grinder, but to my surprise it isn't. I haven't seen coffee grounds spread all over the place, which is always pleasant. He likes that he is able to control the grind to his preference without engaging in the hassle of using an external grinder. He grinds our espresso and then makes my mom her latte with the steam wand. It's a great little routine. The machine looks nice on the counter. Even though there are a lot of gadgets and controls, my dad hasn't had any issues with the espresso machine since he has some experience. I personally think it's a good idea to have everything already integrated since having a grinder and espresso machine is taking up extra space. I will say that having way less space used is way more convenient. ... show more

  • Very good quality the price is reasonable for how good it is
This sure is nice. I really like that is has a built in grinder. Keep everything you want to do in one place that way. I wasn’t familiar with this brand so I was cautious. It’s pretty good. The materials and components are very good quality and it’s assembled well. Everything is clean and tight. It looks nice too. Set up and use is straightforward and easy. The book was helpful and detailed. Very easy to understand. The use tool some practice but not much. Clean up is very easy as well. It doesn’t take long to have it cleaned up. It is easier to let it sit where you need it instead of storing away. It’s a little on the bigger side and there are some pieces you don’t want lose. Overall this is a very nice and well made machine. It’s runs quiet all things considered. It looks nice and is easy to use and care for. This is a good buy and would make a very nice gift. ... show more

  • Effective all in one machine!
For the price and the size this is a pretty impressive machine. The grinder assembles easily and also comes apart for easy cleaning. And the conical birds are great at creating fluffy grounds. There is plenty of room for adjustments and add a number 12 setting I was getting great espresso with a nice fine grind. The PF is a smaller capacity at only 13 g so I would suggest upgrading your basket if you can. But other than that, this machine was pulling some decent flavored espresso. The steam wand is a single hole and puts out a bit of water. That was a little bit of practice. You can froth the milk pretty decently. Overall, this is a great machine. ... show more

  • Great value espresso machine with solid control!
I’ve only been using this machine for a few days, but I’m super happy with it so far. It lets you fine-tune both the grind size and dose amount, so if you have some experience, you can easily tweak the settings based on the beans you’re using. Even if you’re a beginner, the interface makes it easy to experiment and pull a shot that matches your taste. I used basic, affordable espresso beans, and the results were surprisingly good—nice crema, rich body, and a smooth finish with zero burnt or bitter taste. It genuinely makes me enjoy drinking espresso even more. Definitely worth every penny for this price point! ... show more
