There are times I don't need or want to get out the big spreader to put down seed or fertilizer. This rechargeable spreader works great! I put it on the charger overnight and did a test run the next day, spreading some grass seed on an area. I like that the spread can be adjusted from wide to narrow, making it easier to control where the seed is going. The speed adjustment is nice, but I don't know if I'll ever go over three... It can really throw. The size adjustment says it has eight sizes, but it didn't seem to change much with some of the middle numbers. The hopper holds plenty for small jobs and is easy to fill or dump back out, if you don't use it all.

This is a nifty little power spreader. No need to crank to distribute seed or fertilizer, just pull the trigger and aim. There is an adjustment for the speed as well as how open the chute is for controlling volume of material being distributed. The is also a shield to control the width of the “spray” pattern for the material being distributed. All in all, a pretty handy gadget for a small lawn or for spot treating…

This is the first time I have ever used a rechargeable spreader and what a difference! seeds are scattered much more evenly that my old hand crank. This one also did not get clogged one time like my hand crank, so already it's an improvement. It has variable speed and distance as well. I am very impressed with this, just seeded my entire backyard and it was so simple. It didn't run out of power either, the charge lasted my entire 1/3 acre. Seeded both grass and clover today and the job is done. Very nice!!

I tested this with some salt after clearing snow from my driveway. It throws the salt well and held enough charge to do about 20 minutes of salt throwing.

Consistency is hard with a hand cranked seeder as the speed you turn greatly effects the results. With this cordless seeder I am able to set the gate opening to a repeatable number and the speed to a repeatable number and just go seed. I really like the little beater on the inside to keep materials from bridging up and the adjustable gate on the side to control directionality of your seeding to only put the seed where you want it. Yard work, food plots, fertilizer, etc will all work well through this - going to give it a workout and see how long the battery lasts soon.

The media could not be loaded. This hand spreader is very easy to use. I used it with some potassium fertilizer which were granules and you can adjust the size of the opening to adjust the spread. However, this shoots it out very far. So I think it would be great for a yard of planting seed or fertilizing grass, but for garden and single tree use, it just shoots it out in random places.

This is one great handheld seed spreader. I love that you have the different adjustments for how far you want the seat to go and also the height of the grass. I love that it’s rechargeable. It was so much easier to spread the clover seed over my yard, because the seed being so small, the spreader really put a lot down. It was much more evenly spread than anyone could do by hand. It’s very easy to clean out when you’re done. This is really a great spreader and I would recommend it.
