This is a nice looking, light weight (but sturdy) and functional garden or work bench. It is light enough to move around easy and sturdy enough that you don't feel it is going to crack from a move. The instruction pictures can be a little deceiving. Need to pay attention to the details. The diagram does not always show the proper angle to know if you are holding the piece correctly. If you go slow and pay attention it does go together properly. I initially was rushing and misaligned some pieces. However, it was very easy to take back apart and start again. I used only a screw driver and hand tightened. The wood is soft (hence being light weight) and the screws could crack through easy at times if tightening pressure is too much. I managed to only have that happen once on me. Overall I am very happy with the product.

I did not purchase this bench to use as a potting bench, I wanted a cute mud kitchen for my grandsons. It does not disappoint. It was sturdy, easy assembly, picture instructions, which took about an hour. We then disassembled the bottom shelves and cut about 12 inches off as my boys r 3 and 1 yrs. Then reassembled and screwed short shelf as backing to one side of the open back. Applied danish oil as a protectant. Looks fantastic in the yard and the boys love it. Could see it making a fantastic outdoor bar as well. Love the design. “Sink” arrived with a crack even though it was packaged well. I contacted seller thru Amazon, they replied promptly, asked for photo of damaged piece and r sending replacement. I applied sealing tape to damaged piece as a temp fix until new piece arrives.

Nice, but assembly is a pain. The missing drill holes are really annoying, especially on step 1. TBH just adding those holes would have been enough to raise this to a 5 star. The rest of the areas not having holes wasn’t a big deal. I like the table overall and it’s a good size. I used two 11 oz spray cans of clear waterproof sealant and was able to do 2 coats over the whole piece. The potting bench looks great and feels sturdy. I think it will need to be coated with sealant each year to keep it in good shape.

Assembly was a breeze — took about 45 minutes max to put together. Just lay out the pieces in numerical order to make life easier. The bench came unfinished or maybe minimal clear coat (not sure), but I sanded this piece and put 2 coats of polyurethane (sanding in between coats). This results in a nicer looking, more durable, somewhat scratch-resistant and easier cleaning work surface. I have mine next to my grill under an awning, so it isn’t sitting under the direct sun 24/7, but here in Florida it will still get wet so I wanted to protect it more. Having it sealed should do the trick. The bottom shelf is the perfect size for 4 chlorine bottles (I measured before I bought), there’s plenty of room for some planting stuff, hooks for grilling or planting tools too. The drawer is sturdy as is the whole setup. The “sink” is nice to have but wasn’t a deal breaker. Most of the time, I keep a cutting board on top of it anyway. I added a couple of bar mats to the top tier and use silicone mats to put hot items while grilling to protect the wood. I also added a couple of strong magnets on the side to hold whatever metal tools I’m using at the moment. All in all, this is a pretty good find and is working very well for my needs. I do wish the wood was a little thicker, but this piece should last quite a while nevertheless.

The instructions were fairly simple and clear. However the quality of the wood was thin, light weight and poor quality. The wood split and cracked in over 3 places. I was very careful when drilling in the nails because the wood was so light weight and thin. I live in SoCal so wondering how long this will last in the sun. Also if I lived in a region where it is windy, I would expect the table to fly away since the wood is so thin. I’m just glad I didn’t pay full price and purchased when there was a discount.

3 Year Update: The front next to the drawer came off because nails got rusted, and popped off. Wood is bowing because it's so soft. I have a six bed vegetable garden, and would rather use a utility table and shelving. I'm moving it opposite of the guest bedroom window, or just outside the sunroom. It's an occasional use, or showpiece bench. Review after a few months: The wood seems soft. Doesn't feel like it's weatherproofed either. Otherwise it is sturdy, and a lovely addition to our backyard. I have it in the shade on our porch right now, but before we move it to the side of the house we plan to paint it with clear weatherproofing stain. I split the wood at the top because I didn't drill the hole first. The instructions say nothing about this, but to make sure the soft wood doesn't split I recommend drilling before putting in the screw. Otherwise it is a lovely workspace table. I recommend it.

PLEASE INCLUDE ALL HOLES PRE DRILLED, right off the bat with step 1 your searching for the holes to match up and there arnt any. Over all pretty happy with it, its sturdy, (smells amazing lol) the wood is very soft and easy to ding/dent so be careful. Did have a few places where the wood split, but not to big of a deal for me.

Was happily surprised with the quality of the wood. Not quite cabinet quality but very close. Had to predrill some of the joints where the screw was going into the grain of the wood but no big deal. Instructions could use some work -- took me 3 tries to get the first step done correctly but after that the assembly was easy. Overall, very pleased with the product I received at that price point. I recommend buying it if you're comfortable with assembling flat pack projects. It will definitely meet our -- correction, my wife"s -- needs as a potting bench. Fir is a good wood for outside projects but I did buy the suggested cover for it.
