Replaces a lower quality plastic wheeled spreader. I did not know what the fold-down side flap was for until I realized it was for obstructing the spread on one side when disbursing next to driveways or curbs.

This Echo spreader with hard rubber wheels. Best spreader I’ve ever had. Little heavier than other spreaders I’ve owned. Holds up to 60lbs.Just a solid unit!!! Highly recommend!

very sturdy, very well made, very much easy to use. i feel like this product was built to last and with the easy adjustments and the over size tires it makes using this spreader so simple. does not tip over when loading, does not jam up, has no problem throwing the material a good distance and is super easy to clean up.

Love this. Works with heavy applications such as liming without the wheels leaving wheel tracks. Bigger than a less expensive Scotts but I plan to have this for years. Expensive and bulky but otherwise great to use.

I replaced a Scotts Elite spreader with this product because the Scotts couldn't spread enough fertilizer when it was set to the number on the fertilizer bag. This spreader not only distributed the right amount of fertilizer, but it spread a wider path which meant fewer rows which meant less time. It's very well built, easy to push and it did an amazing job. I love it.

Very happy with this item. We upgraded to more professional products and our small Scott’s spreader couldn’t hack it. This worked very well.

Only used it once so far, and right off the bat I can tell it's MUCH better than the Scott's Edgeguard DLX spreader I used to use. This thing throws the fertilizer! Solid build and comfortable to push. One thing to note is that the plugs on the bottom of the two legs pop out easy. I put some superglue on them and jammed them back in. If anything happens negatively I'll update the review, but it's very impressive from what I can tell. I wish I bought this sooner.

Used this new spreader once since i received it. Seems to work well and spread Scott Turf Builder fertilizer well. Fertilizer hopper is very large which makes for fewer refills. Wheels role fine and easily over my St. Augustine grass in South Florida.
