This machine only lasted long enough to get out of window of return . Needles started breaking then bobbin won't load . A cheap piece of Chinese junk . Did good at first then just started falling apart

Let me start by saying I am definitely not someone who sews regularly. I’ve owned a sewing machine for years, but every time I pull it out, it feels like I have to relearn everything from scratch. I was hoping this machine would be much more beginner friendly and simplified, but honestly, it operates pretty similarly to my older machine. That said, there are definitely things I liked about it. The biggest selling point for me is the weight. Compared to my old sewing machine, this one feels incredibly lightweight and much easier to move around or store away. It also comes with a nice starter kit, so you really do have everything you need to get going right out of the box, which I appreciated. Where I struggled was the actual learning process. The listing says it’s for beginners, but I think that description is a little generous. There’s still a pretty decent learning curve if you’ve never sewn before or aren’t already comfortable threading and operating a machine. The manual helped somewhat, but I still spent a lot of time trying to figure things out. Thankfully the thread came preloaded, because honestly, if I had needed to thread it myself right away, I probably would have been stuck before even starting. After some trial and error, I did manage to sew a straight-ish stitch line, which felt like a small personal victory. Once it’s running, the machine itself seems solid and capable, and I can see more experienced users getting much more out of the different stitch options and speed settings. Overall, I think this is a decent sewing machine with some really nice features, especially if portability matters to you. Just don’t expect it to magically make sewing easy overnight if you’re brand new to it. A little patience and willingness to learn are definitely still required. ... show more

cute but i searched full sized machine and it was very small. the needle threads front to back not to the side like other machines making it hard to thread even with a threader . i was looking for a full sized machine for beginner but got a child sized machine with beginner functions. i was going to use this machine to teach my beginner but will need to purchase a regular sized machine because my beginner is not a child! ... show more

I picked up this machine to replace an older plastic-heavy model that always bogged down whenever I tried to mend heavy work clothes or stitch together layered projects. Having a full metal core makes a world of difference, and this unit has handled my recent sewing projects beautifully. The piercing power on this machine is the real deal. True to its claim, it glides through 6 layers of standard fabric without that terrifying motor-groan you get from cheaper models. The extension table is a fantastic addition, providing a nice, flat, stable surface that keeps heavier projects from dragging and pulling on your needle. Having 39 built-in stitches gives you plenty of room for creative decorative work, and the inclusion of a double needle makes achieving those professional, clean parallel hems on garments incredibly easy. The 5-speed control is also a brilliant feature, letting you dial it down to a slow crawl for intricate corners or crank it up for long, straight curtains. My only word of caution is for absolute beginners regarding the initial setup. Because this machine is packed with more professional features and a sturdier internal tension system than a basic plastic toy, threading it and configuring the tension for the double needle can be a bit intimidating at first glance. The instruction booklet is thorough, but you will definitely want to take your time reading through it and run a few test stitches on some scrap fabric before diving straight into a real project.
